On the RIZE: In-State WRs Primed for Big Performances

New Jersey is holding it down with some of the best WR prospects in the state making their way to RIZE. Each of these players have already made their presence known within the state, but here is the ultimate opportunity to go against some of the best DBs in the country and show that they belong in national conversations. I fully expect these receivers to "wow" the coaches and scouts; so now we just wait until next Saturday arrives. The first time I ever saw Kingston it was at the AYF All Star tryouts. His name wasn't on the initial signup list, but he was putting on such a show that I had to ask him for his name. From there, I most recently saw Kingston at the PA Classic 7v7 and might I say, he did not disappoint.   Kingston has all of the attributes coaches look for in a true WR1. A strong handed receiver that has a knack for winning the battle for the ball in air, Kingston is a reliable target that every QB favors throwing to. On top of that, Kingston has proved himself to be an explosive route runner that can shake off defenders trailing him. He is the full package.     Another wide receiver I got to see on the field at the PA Classic, [player_tooltip player_id='2143389' first='Amarri' last='Cephas'] shined on one of my favorite teams of the weekend, SlimeU 14u. It only took one play for Amarri to catch the attention of all of those in attendance. Amarri showed off his quickness and play making ability by catching a slant across the middle and taking it the distance by splitting the defense in half. His acceleration and top end speed caught the defenders off guard, proving that he is a weapon to be aware of.     A new name to the list and PRZ scene, [player_tooltip player_id='2076845' first='Xavier' last='Christian'] is in a position to make a name for himself not only in the state but on a national level as well. Listed as a WR and RB, this speaks to Xavier's versatility, which will be on full display next Saturday. With performance testing, individual drills, and competition against the top DBs in the country, Xavier has plenty of opportunities to put himself on the map.     I'll start off this evaluation with a statement: [player_tooltip player_id='1506581' first='Brayden' last='Berkley'] will be one of the top players coming out of RIZE next Saturday. A true downfield threat, Brayden's size commands your attention, but how he uses it solidifies how big of an asset he can be on offense. While Brayden's size is what initially draws you in, his athleticism and ability to stretch the field vertically is what sets him apart from most other prospects. While Brayden is listed as a WR for RIZE, don't be surprised if scouts look at him as a tight end long term. He has the size, dimensions, and authority on the field to play a vital role in the run game as well.
