Northwest’s new offers, camp standouts: Wide receivers

There's a really talented crop of wide receivers coming out of the Northwest right now.   So, it should come as no surprise that few positions in the region have generated more new offers, or more buzz, in the past few months than the pass-catchers.   Here's a look a the wide receivers who either had big camp showings or added significantly to their respective offer sheets:    [player_tooltip player_id='985348' first='Jayce' last='Halasz'], Graham-Kapowsin (2028) — A list like this has to begin with Halasz.   The 6-foot-3, 195-pound speedster has been one of the fastest-rising receiver prospects in the entire country.    Since May 1, he has added scholarships from Alabama, Ohio State, Oregon, USC, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin and others.   Simply put, he's making a case to be an All-American selection, as well as a potential top-100 guy nationally.   It's silly to think in our last PRZ update he was our highest-rated player in the Northwest without a Power 4 conference offer.   But we were certain the breakout - and recruiting response - was inevitable.   Alas, here we are.   Halasz is a certified national recruit with a chance to be one of the biggest risers in the entire country when rankings update.   [player_tooltip player_id='937176' first='Malachi' last='Garlington'], Nelson (2027) — Prep Redzone has been very high on Garlington for months.   The 6-foot-3, 180-pound speedster, who collected 20 touchdowns last fall, was ahead of players with multiple Power 4 offers in our last update.   Since then, Garlington has picked up an offer from Oregon and committed to the Ducks.   A year ago, he was an intriguing young pass-catcher with little fanfare.   Now, he's part of what could be the nation's best recruiting class.   What a massive rise!    Kaydon Tatum, O'Dea (2029) — May offers from Arizona and Washington signaled the Arizona transplant was legit.   But his recent offer from Auburn signaled Tatum will be a national recruit.   He missed much of the camp season with an injury, but has been on a national tour to Florida State, Georgia and others.    [player_tooltip player_id='1397315' first='Justin' last='Suega'], Federal Way (2029) — Since May 1, the 6-foot-3, 195-pound two-way athlete has added offers from Arizona, Colorado State, Utah and Washington State.   Two of those offers cement his certain status as a Power 4 recruit.   Suega will be one of the most coveted players in the region in the class of 2029, and his early start is simply further evidence that he is a premier prospect on the West Coast.    [player_tooltip player_id='936920' first='Jasiah' last='Agnimel'], Lake Oswego (2027) — The 6-foot-4, 210-pound WR/TE just committed to Portland State on June 25.   I've got an FBS grade on him, and wonder if that commitment will stick.   If it does, he'll be the best in-state commitment for PSU in years.   Agnimel has a chance to make the leap and be one of the state's biggest mismatches this fall.    [player_tooltip player_id='685276' first='Sirjewel' last='Glover'], Rainier Beach (2027) —We've liked Glover at PRZ for some time and had an FBS grade on him early.   He recently committed to Washington State, which represents a really nice addition for the Cougars.   I keep hearing good things about their recruiting efforts, and it's clearly paying off.   Getting guys like Glover and four-star offensive lineman Rashaun Lavata'i speaks volumes about the new staff.   Sincere Ford, FSP Academy (2031) — Welcome to Power 4 status, Sincere.   The young talent recently added his first Power 4 offer from Kansas State.   It's remarkably early for the young athlete, but that's simply an offer that has to be mentioned.   His stock is clearly very high at a young age.   Big-time!    [player_tooltip player_id='935357' first='Josiah' last='Hawkins'], Cascade (2027) — Hawkins is one of the best most under-recruited players in the Northwest.   The talented two-way standout was among the best wide receivers and defensive backs at The Northwest Showcase, flipping back and forth to either make big plays or break up passes.   It's stunning to see his recruitment still quietly.   He's set a 4A district meet record in the 100 (10.94) and shows every bit of that speed on both sides of the ball.   He's a Big Sky-caliber player, and it will be interesting to see - if everything is where it needs to be in the classroom - how high his stock could climb.    Talon Bosky, Central Catholic (2027) — Bosky went on a big run with the Ivy League schools, seemingly adding offers on a weekly basis.    But the FBS took notice as well, and he recently committed to Nevada.   The last big-time pass-catcher Nevada signed out of Oregon that we liked more than the consensus was Clackamas WR/TE Cole Turner.   He's playing on Sundays.    [player_tooltip player_id='2065218' first='Siosaia' last='Malietufa'], Puyallup (2029) — While Malietufa hasn't picked up any new FBS offers in a few weeks, he was a standout at The Northwest Showcase.   Initially split up by age, the 6-foot-2, 175-pound pass-catcher was quickly moved to the older group for better/more even competition.   It's a little thing, but it's also a great sign that the 2029 prospect is on track to be a special playmaker in the coming years.   We expect a big sophomore season from the new Puyallup star.
