My Favorite Teams Heading Into 2026

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Today is my last day writing for the site.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's been a wonderful five years full of memories, great relationships, and most importantly- awesome football.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As I write this I think back to some of the legendary teams and seasons we've gotten to see over the years, which is exactly why I want to end this out on a bang, and go over the top teams I expect to find success this upcoming season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":1} --> <h1 class="wp-block-heading">WILLIAMSON</h1> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I've not been shy to say it in the past. Williamson has an absolutely loaded defense with basically no holes in the unit. They have an incredible secondary, a ferocious pass rush, and linebackers that can easily play and produce against the run and pass every single down. When you look at their offense, the speed stands out immediately. They have some WRs that can absolutely fly and stretch the field, and a run game that you can count on every down. Be sure to watch out for them in the 5A this season, there's a lot to be excited.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":1} --> <h1 class="wp-block-heading">CLAY CHALKVILLE </h1> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Clay Chalkville is a loaded team both offensively and defensively that is going to dominate the 6A this upcoming year. They have so much talent on their defensive line, have a ton of athletic DBs in their secondary, and are going to find a ton of success in their run game this upcoming season. If you watched them at all last year you know one thing- they completely dominate the line of scrimmage. It's so impressive to watch, and is exactly what will take them far this upcoming year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":1} --> <h1 class="wp-block-heading">THOMPSON</h1> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='216690' first='Trent' last='Seaborn'] is heading into his final season, and man is there a ton to be excited about. He's only found success since becoming Thompson's starting QB, and I think this year will remain the same. They have a dominant passing attack, an unbelievable defense, and a coaching staff and roster that's found success several times before. I'm sure they're going to find more success this season, be sure to watch. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
