Louisiana student-athletes have been announcing college commitments with fast-and-furious frequency the past couple weeks as the summer barrels toward its midway mark.

More than three dozen more prospects have shared their college plans since our previous recruiting round-ups earlier this month.

Here's a look at a few running backs and offensive linemen now locked in with Division-I programs.

Jaden Celestine — 5-10, 190 RB — Comeaux —> Lamar

One of Louisiana's most prolific running backs from this past season is in the midst of two big decisions at once about the future of his academic and athletic career with news this month at his high school will not reopen for the new school year. While high school fans await final word on where the 1,600-yard, 24-pound workhorse and leader will play his senior campaign, Celestine announced this month a commitment to Lamar amid a recruiting process that also featured a Nicholls State and Arkansas State among others at different junctures.

[player_tooltip player_id='1782493' first='Nolan' last='Daniel'] — 6-3, 280 OL — West Feliciana —> South Alabama

The Jaguars have loaded up on Louisiana talent in their current recruiting class, now recently including the addition of West Feliciana's highest-ranked rising senior prospect. Daniel is a powerful, tenacious blocker who has shown some positional versatility playing heavily at tackle for his Saints, but also getting some work inside at guard where he may be more likely to project at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1251694' first='Jaylen' last='Haywood'] — 6-7, 375 OL/DL — Amite —> Texas State

Texas State has managed some of this summer's biggest Louisiana recruiting wins among out-of-state programs, and one of the biggest offensive linemen in The Boot joined that momentum this month with his commitment after a recruiting process that also included Tulane, Louisiana (Lafayette), Nicholls State, McNeese State and Southern Miss as other notable offers this year and some Power-Four interest at different points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1610246' first='Trey' last='Martin'] — 5-11, 185 RB/DB Franklin Parish —> LSU

Home-state LSU landed a top-10 prospect in the state and one of the nation's most sought-after running backs overall this month when Martin, the all-state Franklin Parish, star announced his pledge. The Patriots are now poised to send signees to the Tigers in back-to-back classes, a historic dynamic for the school and community. Martin meanwhile becomes a member of a three-back class for Lane Kiffin and company and will head into a battle in Baton Rouge in which his confidence and well-rounded skillset should be critical.

[player_tooltip player_id='739720' first='Jayden' last='Miles'] — 6-2, 205 RB — Catholic-Baton Rouge —> Florida State

Florida State managed to pry the star running back from Catholic High out of Baton Rouge and out of The Boot in early June. Relationships with coach Mike Norvell, running backs coach Kam Martin and director of football strategy Gabe Fertitta, the former Catholic-BR coach, proved huge is securing one of longtime stars of the Louisiana class, a big and physical back with more versatility to his game than he's sometimes credited.

[player_tooltip player_id='2228456' first='Jaden' last='Terrance'] — 5-9, 170 RB/ATH — Archbishop Rummel —> Tulane

The speedy Raiders star was among the busy and successful mid-June run for hometown Tulane. Terrance racked up more than 1,600 all-purpose yards and 17 touchdowns as a junior as not only a member of a dynamic 1-2 punch at running back, but also a capable pass-catcher who can be moved out to slot and a home-run threat in the return game. How his role develops will be interesting to follow early in his college career, but the Green Wave added a promising weapon capable of torching his way to the end zone on any touch to their 2027 haul.
