5 Statewide Prospects Making A Splash At Summer Camps

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As we are no in the second week of June, football prospects are now grabbing headlines once again.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Whether it's the seniors in the Class of 2027 or several underclassmen, prospects are starting to turn heads at camps and 7-on-7 events that are being held on college campuses.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This is&nbsp; the time of year when college coaches can see for themselves these prospects by watching them go through drills, one-on-one competition and see what they bring to the table – without full pads.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As media and recruiting services watch and record these talented players do their thing, fans will have a better idea which players continue to mature and get better, and will be fun to watch this coming season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Even though there are so many gifted prospects doing their thing, and we will continue to cover as we get around the state, here are five to keep an eye on:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2027 - [player_tooltip player_id='2168082' first='Allens' last='Alexandre'], OL/DL, 6'4, 280, Key West. </strong>This recent University of South Florida commitment has been on the radar just waiting for the right program to come along. A quality two-way performer who was the state 1A heavyweight runner up wrestler. Very athletic and agile. As he continues to pick up more on the football field, this is someone who will only get better. He truly flew under the radar and finally had some eyes on his game. Very quick off the ball, works hard and will certainly be surrounded by a different group of players in 2026. Could be one of the biggest surprises in Florida this coming season. Like so many, all he needed was an opportunity to showcase his skills. Had a huge spring and at every off-season camp, he has made a statement. Very athletic and skilled, he is not only a solid cover defensive secondary performer, but he isn't afraid to stick his head in there and showcase his physicality. His move to play for the Bobcats will further enhance his many skills. As he gets bigger and stronger and gains confidence, this is a talent prospect that has a chance to blow up in a big – way. Has made the most of his opportunities this off-season. While he plays the receiver position, his growth and ability to make plays on the defensive side of the ball may project him as a tight end and perhaps as an edge performer. His body is set to add more weight and strength. As he is skilled, he is alsoa tough young man who plays this game with plenty of passion.
