Pre-season S Fla 2027 Recruiting Report: Florida State Seminoles

The Florida State Seminoles face challenges heading into the 2026 season, but the coaching staff in Tallahassee have secured commitments from top-tier players from South Florida.

Three ex-teammates played together at Plantation and now intend to play together at FSU. The trio had planned to play the 2026 season at Cypress Bay, but personnel changes caused two to play their senior seasons elsewhere. Here is a look at the talent from South Florida who pledged to Florida State for its 2027 class.

Dobson intends to play at Cypress Bay for his senior season, as the recent reclass was dominant for Plantation last year.

The talent can play as a serviceable tight end, but the high-upside defender can be an elite edge on the next level. He has all the physical traits a coach would want: big, strong, and fast.

What stands out is his mean streak, where he bullies his adversaries at the line and tends to intimidate his opponents. He already has a variety of moves, including a strong bull rush, but he can also blow past linemen who are late in positioning.

Other Offers: Alabama, Miami, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas

Foreman committed to FSU last year and has not wavered from his pledge despite a losing season from the Seminoles.

The senior does an excellent job of locating the football and consistently turns his head to locate the football in a timely manner.
