‘29 Summer Rankings Preview: Four Offensive Prospects

Last week I hinted at the next update for the upcoming sophomore class, and now I am happy to announce that the rankings are set to go live next Monday.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This report will be similar to the one I posted last week, as I preview more additions to the rankings. This group consists of four offensive prospects with some upside to their game. Folks will want to follow the progress of these four players throughout the ‘26 season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1907979' first='Tommy' last='Burgess'] - Shawnee Mission East, 5'10”, 155, QB</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The upcoming sophomore class has a collection of promising young gunslingers. Many of them are unproven, but still talented nonetheless. Burgess of Shawnee Mission East is a good example. He put together solid film during his freshman season, and flashed the potential of being an exciting dual-threat QB. Which is good news for the Lancers considering how heavily utilized the position is in their flexbone style offense. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1744766' first='Ashton' last='Crosswhite'] - Washburn Rural, 6'0”, 170, WR</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Once this young wideout makes his debut he'll be in the mix for one of the top WR spots. Crosswhite of Washburn Rural boasts a good frame for his age, and has proven to be an athletic playmaker. While competing at the freshman level in 2025, Crosswhite was able to quickly win against opposing corners, and emerged as a go-to target down the field.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2124225' first='Zade' last='Klepac'] - Bishop Miege, 6'2”, 250, OL</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Klepac of Bishop Miege will be one of four new offensive linemen added to the rankings. He displays solid fundamentals in pass pro and in the run game. Not to mention he possesses underrated athleticism which allows him to be an effective puller. He could be a solid lineman for the Stags over the next few years.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2155322' first='Malik' last='Harrison'] - Salina Central, 6'3”, 215, TE</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The reigning 5A champions will need to rely on some of their young pass catchers after graduating multiple from their 2025 squad. One prospect they could look to is their up-and-coming tight end [player_tooltip player_id='2155322' first='Malik' last='Harrison']. At 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, Harrison is on track to possibly become a matchup nightmare. Once he truly comes into his own he'll be difficult to bring down in the open field.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
