2028 Rankings: Rosner Rises, Jackson Jumps, WNY WR Risers

The 2028 Rankings have release and we have a loaded RB room in New York State, filled top to bottom with talent from all across the state. Forty-Three Wide Receivers appear ranked with more on our watch list. In this article, we take a look at a few Wide Receivers from across the Western New York Region who have rose in rankings across the state. He can play on both sides of the ball and play both WR and DB, showing versatility at both positions.   Measurables: Standing at 6'3" 180-Pounds, he has outstanding frame for a WR, and a DB, and should only look to add more weight to fill out his frame as he is on the thinner side for his weight.   Evaluation: Rosner has the potential to play on both sides of the ball, and can even make plays as an EDGE rusher. He has true athlete potential and it is hard to base where his best position is. As a WR, he does show balanced footwork, and a quick burst of speed which allows him to move laterally and escape tackles and stay upright. He has good hands, and good ball security. If pass catcher is the best for him he should work on his routes and gaining separation off the line. Rosner is a true Swiss army knife on the football field.     Background: The Pittsford Mendon Prospect is a name I saw rise in the latest 2028 Prep Redzone Rankings. Jablonsky shows good versatility as well, and can play both WR, and DB on the football field.   Measurables: At 5'10" Jablonsky showcases solid height for a WR, and is well in the chart for his positions. His weight at 165-Pounds, is under the chart, and he should look to reach minimum the 180-Pound mark to help fill out his frame.   Evaluation: Jablosnky is a quick playmaker who can easily make catches with ease. He has quick legs, and gets off the line well which allows him to make open catches down field. He is a slot threat who plays like an outside receiver. He has solid footwork and good route running abilities, which allows him to make catches at all three level of the field. He showcases a high IQ, and understands space and how to utilize it against defensive schemes. I want to see Jablonsky continue to work on his route running and skillset at the top of his routes, along with physicality when he goes against stickier DB's.     Background: [player_tooltip player_id='1714795' first='Cole' last='Preisch'] is another WR, who showcases good versatility on the football field, and can also play at the DB position. The Starpoint prospect, finds himself ranked 11th in the latest Rankings.   Measurables: Preisch is an undersized prospect who stands at 5'8" 150-Pounds. he should look to add weight as he grows to fill out his frame, but his weight for height is ok for now.   Evaluation: Preisch is a special teams threat given his size and speed. He has the ability to make people miss with ease. As a RW, given his size he projects as mainly a Slot threat. His speed in the slot is a weapon and he can find open space through the defense to make plays. Film is a bit limited on Preisch but he has untapped potential with the ability to make plays if he continues to work on his craft.     Background: East is a talented squad and they have players across the board and at every position. One name that caught my eye is [player_tooltip player_id='1248845' first='Dezmon' last='Jackson']. The 2028 Prospect is a true WR, who can make plays across the field and has seen an uptick in his recruitment as of lately.   Measurables: Jackson has a perfect size for a WR prospect standing at 6'2" 195-Pounds. His height is great for a receiver, and for his height his weight is perfect. He can always add more weight to fill out his frame but it is not a necessity.   Evaluation: Jackson is a true downfield threat who excels in zone coverage. He is an outside threat who can burn past coverage with ease. He can make contested catches through contact, and showcases good vision and ball tracking ability down the field. I do want to see more routes from Jackson, and a better tool kit of moves moving forward, as he can easily become a complete threat as a receiver. He is a smart player, and can sit in between defenses and make plays which allows him to take off, and use his speed, and balanced footwork and body control to navigate downfield.
