2026 Under The Lights Showcase Award Winners

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It was a great night this past Saturday at the Rock on the Southern Miss campus. Wyatt Davis hosted another great showcase for Quarterbacks around the South. There were some Mississippi quarterbacks there who came away with some hardware.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='679621' first='Kellen' last='Hall']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hall was the overall showcase MVP. That is not surprising. He has been the top dawg at a few camps. Hall recently committed to Old Dominion. This kid is going to be pretty good on the next level. As fans have seen Prep Redzone mention before, this kid can do it all at the quarterback position. That is why he was able to go out there and win MVP amongst some very good competition.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='2053911' first='Kross' last='Avent']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Avent was the MVP for the 2028 class quarterbacks. It will not be long before scouts are going to have to stop sleeping on this kid. Last season during the 2A state title game, he proved to everyone that he is a quarterback to know. Avent has been on fire at a few camps during this summer. This is going to carry over into the football season. Fans are expecting him to have another good year at East Webster.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2067622' first='Reece' last='Robinson']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Robinson has a lot of people excited about his football career. He is a freshman who is already picking up division one attention along with a lot of talk around his name. His approach to the game is very calm for a kid who is basically fresh out of 8th grade. His ability to do it all at quarterback stands out. Robinson is also a player who can get out there and get things done with his legs. There are going to be more offers coming his way.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1604704' first='Brysen' last='Bivins']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bivins is the starting quarterback for Laurel. He was the winner of the comeback challenge. Wide receivers need to make sure they get their head around when running a comeback route. Bivins is going to be sure to get it there. This is a good play to keep the chains moving. It is also a good play to gain some sure yards when a QB looks over and sees that his WR is being covered by a smaller defender. Be ready to hear his name more during this upcoming football season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='934573' first='Max' last='Gassiott']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Gassiott is a quarterback from Central High School in Louisiana. He won MVP for the 2027 class. Kid has a strong arm and he is very accurate. This is his last season to get out there and put some numbers up. There are going to be a lot of opportunities for him to step up and make more big plays this season. If fans are not familiar with him, just know he is a guy to know.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
