16.Lincoln (2025 Record 8-4) 3A

With one of the nation's top QB's Sione Kahoe, I would assume the Abes have high expectations this year. They have gone (24-11) the last three seasons with him as the starter. They will need to beat the likes of Mount Tahoma who beat them twice last year by a combined score of 70-21.

17.Moses Lake (2025 Record 11-1) 4A

It's somewhat hard to determine how good Moses Lake is on a statewide level every year because they don't play anybody during the regular season. Last year was special with all everything D1 QB Brady Jay throwing for 70+ TDs. That said as they return a super talented group with [player_tooltip player_id='1602819' first='Elijah' last='Burns'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1561841' first='Taggart' last='Rathbun'] proving they can play with the best in Washington. Their first-round playoff win over Bothell and 76-41 loss to Lake Stevens the next week was telling.

18.Mount Si (2025 Record 3-7) 4A

I might be totally wrong on this, but I like the senior foundation of this team. D1 defenders [player_tooltip player_id='1568794' first='Drenden' last='Knaevelsrud'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1555731' first='Jason' last='Armbruster'], along with talented two way lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1671069' first='Xavier' last='Wall'] give the Wildcats an elite group to lead the D. The outcome will be heavily reliant on incoming junior QB Colt Stiles and whether he is able to get the offense going.

19.Skyline (2025 Record 8-3) 4A

Skyline graduates a bunch of talent and loses 2028 3* QB [player_tooltip player_id='1789793' first='Ben' last='Odom'] who made the move to Texas. Regardless, it's another school who seems to battle every year, with a 21-20 loss to Bellevue and a season ending 49-20 loss to Puyallup.

20.Gonzaga Prep (2025 Record 11-1) 4A

To say this is a question mark would be a big understatement. The Bullpups have consistently been one of the best programs in Washington going (33-4) over the last three seasons and dominating the Greater Spokane League. They graduate everybody so the young guys will need to step up and make a name for themselves.

21.Eastlake (2025 Record 5-6) 4A

Much like Skyline, playing in a tough Kingco Conference will make you one of the better programs in the state. There are a still a lot of unknowns here, but I expect the Wolves to compete even with the loss of Colorado commit Colby Johnson and standout RB Myles Johnson.

22.Kamiakin (2025 Record 9-3) 4A

Chiawana, Kennewick, Richland, and Kamiakin typically beat up on one another every year during the regular season, with one of the teams usually advancing in the state playoffs. It's possible the Braves get past Chiawana this next year led by D1 athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1368318' first='Michael' last='Kori'], standout [player_tooltip player_id='1368330' first='Mason' last='Severson'], and some elite 2029's coming up through the ranks.

23.Curtis (2025 Record 7-4) 4A

Definitely a school not a lot of people talk about, but they are deserving of some recognition. All conference 2028 RB [player_tooltip player_id='2112464' first='Tyce' last='Kinley'] will be back running the ball with Rashaun Lavata'i ranking as one of the fastest rising prospects on the west coast. We will see if they can keep games close in the brutally tough SPSL.

24.Kennewick (2025 Record 9-3) 3A

If I had to pick a team that consistently wins but doesn't produce big time D1 names it would probably be Kennewick. Give the program credit as they are always relevant come playoff time.

25.Federal Way (2025 Record 6-4) 3A

This will be an interesting season with so much high-profile talent on the Eagles roster now. Both [player_tooltip player_id='1397350' first='Xavier' last='Berry'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1397315' first='Justin' last='Suega'] rank as two of the top players in the country for the 2029 class, making the move from 1A Cascade Christian. Add in [player_tooltip player_id='985511' first='Kaicen' last='Carter'] who is a major D1 prospect, and RB [player_tooltip player_id='2079658' first='Ludolph' last='Misher'] who had an outstanding freshman season at the varsity level totaling 8 TDs, and you have a shot to compete.

26.Skyview (2025 Record 3-6) 4A

The Storm's record last year doesn't accurately reflect the program. They will bring back a handful of 2x all conference defenders with something to prove, after losing to the likes of Graham Kapowsin, Puyallup, (8-2) Eagle- Idaho, and Camas 16-13.

27.Anacortes (2025 Record 10-3) 2A

Two years removed from a state title with Brock and Brady Beaner gone, the Seahawks still had a good season, but it wasn't like before losing a pair of games to eventual state champ Archbishop Murphy by a combined score of 102-24. The good news for Anacortes is that they have a D1 quarterback in [player_tooltip player_id='1428218' first='Ryan' last='Harrington'] leading them, so anything is possible.

28.Rainier Beach (2025 Record 7-3) 3A

No one disputes the talent with at least a handful of division 1 guys on the Beach roster. The question always comes back to how they compete against the likes of O'Dea and Eastside Catholic and in the playoffs. They came up just short to Lincoln in the 1st round 28-19.

29.Seattle Prep (2025 Record 6-4)

Much like Rainier Beach, Seattle Prep has multiple D1 projected dudes with a solid line to boot. They will need to do a better job competing against the top teams if they want to have a chance come playoff time.

30.Lynden (2025 Record 9-3) 2A

The Lions are (40-8) over the last four seasons with a state title. Traditionally they make a run come playoff time almost every year. Once again there typically aren't a bunch of major prospects, but they do the most important thing which is win.
