1.Puyallup (2025 Record 12-1) 4A

Before last year's 42-35 loss to Sumner in the state title game, Puyallup was beating quality teams by an average score of 52-9 (622-119). Most people were somewhat shocked by the loss after beating Sumner by 36 a few months prior. They bring back many of the same guys and should be considered a favorite.

2.Graham Kapowsin (2025 Record 11-2) 4A

It's not often you have double digit D1 offer athletes on the same roster but that is GK. You also have a handful of transfers who could potentially play at that level and one of the top youth programs in the West. They could very well win the 4A title.

3.Lake Stevens (2025 Record 13-1) 4A

The Vikings were minutes away from winning a state title last year before coming up short in OT to Sumner 41-35. It is a tradition rich program who beat the likes of Sumner, Bellevue, and Graham Kapowsin last year. They will once again be in the mix with a solid line returning and [player_tooltip player_id='1892954' first='Jayvian' last='Ferrell']-Gilkey who went for close to 2000 yards and 25 TDs last season.

4.Bellevue (2025 Record 10-3) 3A - Plays 4A Schedule

For many reasons I consider the Wolverines to be a 3A favorite this year. They will have to beat 2x state champ O'Dea but the Irish graduate a lot of talent and Bellevue returns an elite group of D1 perimeter guys.

5.O'Dea (2025 Record 13-1) 3A

O'Dea is (26-1) with back-to-back state titles over the last two years, but how do you make up for the loss of one of Washington's best line groups ever?

6.Sumner (2025 Record 11-3) 4A

Once again give the program all the credit in the world after winning back-to-back state titles. That being said, Lance McGee is gone after his record setting year at RB, and Nate Donavan will be tough to replace even though he wasn't a highly recruited QB.

7.Tumwater (2025 Record 11-2) 2A

I expect the T-Birds to dominate the 2A classification level this year. They came up just short losing 25-19 to Puyallup in the opener last season and then to Archbishop Murphy in the state title game. They also return a bunch of talent and run one of the best programs ever to represent the region.

8.Eastside Catholic (2025 Record 10-2) 3A

[player_tooltip player_id='1003593' first='Tytan' last='McNeal'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1617792' first='Aedyn' last='Havili'] are two of the top ranked players in America but who else will step up? It isn't a super deep group as it relates to ranked athletes other than those two, so it will be interesting to see who makes some noise for one of the top ranked programs in the NW.

9.Bothell (2025 Record 7-3) 4A

I like the Blue Train to continue their trend of being one of the better programs in Washington. [player_tooltip player_id='2042096' first='Mylez' last='Welch'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2042027' first='Cyion' last='Seoum'] will be extremely tough to contain out of the backfield, with impressive wins over Kennedy Catholic, Bellevue, and the King Co Conference in general last year.

10.Kennedy Catholic (2025 Record 8-3) 4A

On paper the Lancers are legit with a handful of D1 athletes on the roster, but I think playing in a weak conference hurts come playoff time. Look for their non-conference schedule to be telling with losses to Bothell (33-28), Sumner (28-0), and Graham Kapowsin (34-7) last season.

11.Glacier Peak (2025 Record 10-2) 4A

The Grizzlies only two losses last year were to Lake Stevens and state champ Sumner. As a program they have been one of the most consistent in recent seasons with a convincing 38-18 win over Chiawana in the first round of the playoffs. Look for recent UW commit [player_tooltip player_id='1315611' first='Zach' last='Albright'], along with DE [player_tooltip player_id='1727670' first='Max' last='Bridges'] to play key roles on both sides of the ball, with incoming 6-5 Junior tackle [player_tooltip player_id='1620395' first='Luke' last='Jennings'] considered one of the fastest rising recruits in the state.

12.Mount Tahoma (2025 Record 13-1) 3A

It was an unreal year for Mount Tahoma in 2025 coming up just short of a state title with the 21-14 loss to O'Dea. They do graduate an abundance of talent which will be tough to make up for. That said as 2029 tackle [player_tooltip player_id='1397364' first='Kamari' last='Wilson'] is one of the best lineman in the nation for his class, with state sack leader [player_tooltip player_id='1671389' first='Teaven' last='Jones'] returning at OLB. They set a precedent last season and should continue to compete for a title, especially with recruiting liaison Ryan Clary making the move.

13.Chiawana (2025 Record 10-1) 4A

Chiawana dominated the MCC at 9-0 last season but got blasted outside of their conference in the first round by Glacier Peak 38-18. The Riverhawks have had tremendous success over the years as a program. It's not a school with a bunch of top recruits, but they do run their own individual system as well as anybody.

14.Lakes (2025 Record 10-2) 3A

Lakes has a bunch of dudes returning with the question being can they put it all together. QB [player_tooltip player_id='1557937' first='Jadis' last='Lefono'] was the conference POY as a freshman last season, losing only to Bellevue and Mount Tahoma. If they are going to get over the hump at the 3A level, this would be the group that could do so.

15.Camas (2025 Record 8-3) 4A

Every year the Papermakers compete and are one of the best overall programs in the NW. 6-4 QB [player_tooltip player_id='1605392' first='Ben' last='Druckman'] and RB [player_tooltip player_id='635258' first='Thor' last='Brody'] will lead offensively this coming season with respectable losses last year to Mount Tahoma and West Linn.
