Rising prospect [player_tooltip player_id='2198505' first='Sammy' last='Wooten'] enters the season as a Top 10 offensive lineman in the state, and his spring recruiting surge has backed it up. Wooten now sits at double-digit Division I offers as college programs continue to take notice. At nearly 300 pounds, he moves exceptionally well, showing the athleticism to play inside or outside on the offensive line. He's powerful at the point of attack, strong with his hands, and has the mobility to get out in space and finish blocks. A true high-level prospect whose stock continues to rise.     [player_tooltip player_id='1318478' first='Mason' last='Hefner'] is a physical specimen at linebacker and one of the more intriguing hybrid defenders in the state. At 6'0, 200 pounds, he has ideal size with the athleticism to match — moving faster than most defensive backs and showing excellent range in the open field. Hefner was all over the field last season, finishing with nearly 80 tackles, and his spring recruiting has taken a major leap with multiple FCS offers rolling in. He brings versatility, speed, and physicality to the second level and continues to trend upward as a prospect.     For Lake Norman, it all starts with [player_tooltip player_id='1616126' first='Kaden' last='Craft'], the #1 quarterback in the Class of 2028 and one of the premier young signal callers in the country. There simply aren't many holes in his game. Craft leads both vocally and by example, earning the respect of teammates and coaches alike while embracing coaching and development. On the field, he checks every box — elite deep ball touch, high football IQ, and game-changing speed that makes him dangerous inside and outside the pocket. The Under Armour Camp Charlotte QB MVP continues to see his stock rise, with Oregon becoming his latest offer. One of the top recruits in the area, Craft will be must-see TV all season long.     [player_tooltip player_id='2164529' first='Charlie' last='Jones'] may still be an up-and-coming prospect on the recruiting trail, but he already looks like a major piece of the Lake Norman defense. During the Super 75 Tour stop, Jones was one of the leaders running the defense at practice and clearly has a big role in what they want to do this season. He's used all over the field — attacking downhill through the middle, coming off the edge on pressure packages, and making plays sideline to sideline.   In person, Jones has a much stronger frame than expected, checking in at 6'1, 205 pounds while reportedly running sub-4.7 speed. He moves extremely well for his size and plays with confidence and leadership traits you want from a linebacker. The rising prospect recently picked up his first offer from UNC, and with camp season and summer evaluations coming up, his recruitment feels like it could take a major jump. At 6'3, 170 pounds, Caldwell brings outstanding size to the position while pairing it with verified speed, having been clocked in the mid-4.5 range — more than enough speed when combined with his frame and playmaking ability.   What stands out most is how natural he is catching the football. Caldwell has great hands, consistently plucks the ball away from his body, and shows the ability to finish plays. His route running is also ahead of schedule, creating separation both off the line and at the top of his breaks, allowing him to consistently create space.   With camp season approaching and several college 7v7 opportunities ahead this summer, it would not be surprising to see Caldwell start collecting offers. Keep an eye on Doc — his stock could rise quickly.     [player_tooltip player_id='2002837' first='Noah' last='Jacobsen'] is one of the more complete skill players on Lake Norman's roster and a true two-sport standout with baseball athleticism that shows up on the football field. The 6'0, 175-pound slot receiver brings a complete game to the position — strong hands, polished route running, toughness, and playmaking ability.   Jacobsen is a real difference maker with the ball in his hands. His run-after-catch ability is dynamic, turning short completions into explosive plays, while his route running consistently creates separation. What really separates him is his willingness to do the dirty work — he blocks, plays physical, and competes every snap. Add in his sure hands and strength, and you have a total package receiver.   His upside is already being noticed as he recently picked up a PWO opportunity from Duke, and with another strong season, his recruitment could continue trending upward.
