If [player_tooltip player_id='2110118' first='Brady' last='Spellman'] wasn't the best player at the Mass. Madness Showdown, he was certainly in the conversation. A halfback/defensive back from Pinkerton Academy in Derry, N.H., Spellman was particularly impressive in passing drills, where his speed and athleticism allowed him to separate from defenders. He cleared 9 feet, 5 inches in the broad jump, which tied for the top distance in that event. Spellman, who also helped Pinkerton win a state championship in basketball last winter, is a bit under the recruiting radar because he missed five games of his junior season to injury, but he should be one of the top two-way players in New Hampshire next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1709334' first='Ajani' last='Kromah'] certaintly passed the eye test. His 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame alone made him stand out when he was grouped with the wide receivers and defensive backs. Kromah performed well on both sides of the ball, but may have been at this best when he was used in the secondary during the 7-on-7 portion of the event. Kromah turned in a 5.08-second 40-yard dash (laser), but tested well in the L Drill (6.96 seconds), a version of the Nebraska Drill (7.1 seconds) and the broad jump (9 feet, 2 inches). He received the top wide receiver award.

[player_tooltip player_id='1313496' first='Brady' last='O'Connor'] caught the eye of several college coaches at the Mass. Madness Showcase. He had good footwork, performed well in individual drills and was exceptional when throwing long to receivers during the best-on-best portion of the camp. O'Connor's leadership qualities were obvious as he helped other players when needed during the camp. O'Connor also had the best size of any player in what looked like a strong group of quarterbacks. He finished the Nebraska Drill in 6.85 seconds (very few finished in less than 7.0 seconds) and cleared 8 feet, 9 inches in the broad jump.

Elliot Ingraham was selected as the top offensive/defensive lineman at the camp. Ingraham helped Pinkerton Academy reach New Hampshire Division I championship game last season. He's a lean 6-foot-5, so he could add weight to his 251-pound frame. He was slotted at left tackle when the top offensive linemen faced the top defensive lineman. His best effort during combine testing came in the 40-yard dash, where he was laser-timed at 5.0 seconds. He was also a member of the Pinkerton basketball team that won the Division I championship.

No one performed better in the combine testing than [player_tooltip player_id='1575710' first='Jordan' last='Zannini'], a slippery running back from Salem (N.H.) High School who will spend a postgraduate season at Bridgton (Maine) Academy. Zannini had the best time in the pro agility (4.28 seconds) and the top time in the 40-yard dash (laser). He also finished the L Drill in 7.5 seconds and the Nebraska Drill in 7.57 seconds. Although he was best known for his big-play ability in Salem's Wing-T offense, Zannini was also a standout defensive back for the Blue Devils. His coverage skills and ball-hawking ability during the showcase allowed him to shine when he competed in one-on-one drills and the 7-on-7 competition.
