This prospect stood out as an absolute stud the entire day! Running a 4.6 40 yard dash, good for 3rd overall, a 4.06 in the pro shuttle good for 1st overall and a 6.91 in the L drill finishing 8th overall. If all that isn't good enough, he looked even better during the competition periods. He showed a great understanding of leverage and being able to keep it against receivers. If he did happen to get beat, he showcased his great closing speed in trail technique. Simpson-Guenther finished the 1 on 1 portion with multiple interceptions showing off his ball skills among everything else. As only a sophomore Zadari looks very poised playing what many believe to be the hardest position in football.

Dane Smith

Dane was on my players to watch list coming in. After viewing game film and evaluating in person I can say he is one of the better safety prospects I've seen so far this summer. He has really good movement and agility with a top 5 finish in the L drill, and a top 8 finish in the 40-yard dash at the showcase. As the last line of defense safeties have to have the ability to play catch man, which Smith displayed the whole day. He has great physicality, being able to contact route runners with great hand placement. He does a great job of shadowing the receiver just enough until it's time to go up and make a play on the ball. He also excels in dissecting route concepts with his eyes, that is a very big skill to have as a safety.

Declan was very solid the entire day. I really liked watching his technique during individual drills. He does a great job of staying square with route runners as long as possible, not panicking and allowing them to open his hips. He has a great motor and will not give up on the ball in the air even if it looks like he is beat. Multiple times I saw him fight through the receivers' hands making a play on the ball.
