PRZ ATL Exposure Series: All-Camp Team, Defense

Robinson crossed state lines and caught my eye during the competition segment of camp. He is listed at 5'9, but he is long, so he plays bigger than listed. He wasn't afraid to get physical. I like how he attached to routes and took control of receivers, something that will stick with him as his traits come around and continue to develop.     Here is yesterday's write-up on Murphy:   "It was a good day for Murphy, who I think is only going to continue getting better. He went both ways during competition, and I thought he played with a patient, efficient pace to win. As a defender, he did a good job of mirroring receivers. The next step of his development is continuing to develop some speed to carry routes downfield as a defender and separate as a receiver. There are definitely some flashes to get excited about here."     This was my first in-person focus on Vahle, who capped off a big week in his recruitment with his performance at our showcase. He is just a puppy, but there is plenty of developmental upside. He is a tall, lean, athletic DB prospect who might fill out into an LB prospect. Regardless, he is a fluid player and proved difficult to drop the ball over for QBs. He had arguably the play of the showcase when he wrestled the ball away from a receiver for an INT. An offer from Boston College surely won't be his last.     I thought Register was a good-looking prospect, and absolutely left as someone I will continue tracking over the next few years. At 6'3, he has at least the requisite length to battle up front, plus the first step and subtle bend to win. I thought he used his hands well, too. Not much to overthink here, he is a good-looking prospect and still has two years to develop and creep closer to his ceiling.     Much of the LB group was built the same way. Shorter, but stout. The showcase setting doesn't really do his game justice, but I thought he was sudden and had good, efficient footwork. He is still a youngster, so there is time for his body to develop and ultimately dictate where he will end up position-wise.     Here is yesterday's write-up on Payton:   "Payton was a standout in the LB group, and was recognized by coaches post-event. I have said it before, but the showcase setting takes away half the game for the LB position, but he still found a way to stand out. He is a big body, but a much better athlete than you'd think. He has good foot speed, is sudden, and stepped up and competed in coverage against speedier guys. Just a rock-solid player with two years to develop and garner attention at a powerhouse in Blessed Trinity."     Here is yesterday's write-up on Moore:   "We had a solid crop of DBs in attendance, but [player_tooltip player_id='2209723' first='Deon' last='Moore']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/deon-moore-2/"></a> was recognized by coaches as a standout. Earlier on in camp, Moore really caught my eye. I thought he was the most natural mover of the DB group, flashing efficient footwork, fluid hips, and the speed to carry routes. Not only that, but he proved capable of stepping up to defend bigger receivers and consistently made an effort on the ball. Really intriguing, underrated rising senior that should creep onto the radar before the fall rolls around."
