Best Linebackers – CFI Mega Showcase

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Charlotte Football Insiders (CFI) hosted over 230 players this past Saturday at Ballantyne Ridge High School in Charlotte, NC. Players at all positions played well, and as of this article, 15 players have received offers!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In this article, we will continue with our positional breakdowns, moving on to the linebackers! In every phase of the showcase, Brayden proved to me that he is a future college football player. I'm expecting him to repeat this upcoming season as an All-Conference player for sure. Noah took full advantage of the opportunity and had a great day overall. I liked what he showed in both 1-on-1 sessions against running backs, because he showed that he could react downhill in the run game drill, and then hold up in space in the passing game drills. However, this season, Kayden is moving to play more at an off-ball linebacker spot for West Charlotte, so it was interesting to see how he is adapting to the transition early in the process. Kayden looked good in the agility circuit, but seeing him play in the run and pass game 1-on-1s, I think he's going to be more than fine in this new role. Even with the additional weight, Eric moved well in all of the drills throughout the entire showcase. Moving to a different school in Weddington that has an excellent defensive staff in place should allow Eric to really shine and have a strong senior season. Unfortunately, Elyejah couldn't finish the entire showcase due to a minor injury, but he showed the athletic ability to successfully transition to playing an off-ball position in the Bulldogs' defense, as he is coming over to Butler after having a strong season at Independence last season. I like how Jacob can play the EDGE position and keep outside contain, but also can play off the ball and shed blocks and make tackles on ball carriers on a consistent basis. He's a player I'm going to keep my eye on heading into summer camp season for sure. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
