2028 Rankings: Offensive Linemen Ready To Shine

And once we get more into the summer workouts, pre-season camp and the 2026 season, this number of offensive linemen in the 2028 Class should grow steadily.   We feel confident that these 20 players are difference-makers in the trenches. They span across the center, guard and tackle positions and are expected to be leaders even though they're just entering their junior years. That's to say, they've already been contributors on the varsity level. Some have already been two-year starters.   While the collective number is on the smaller side of the 263 ranked players in this Class, the diversity and production seem evident across the board.   Here's the list of the offensive linemen and a breakdown of the Top 5, Sleepers and Stock Risers.    BREAKING DOWN THE TOP 5   [player_tooltip player_id='1151291' first='Brody' last='Lorenzo'] Dutch Fork   There is a reason that Lorenzo has been not only the top offensive lineman but also our top overall prospect in the 2028 Class for a while. He's already been a two-year starter for the Silver Foxes and last season he branched out and not only played center but some guard and tackle. Basically, we're he was needed most is where he played. He hasn't done anything this offseason to change our opinion. He pounded out 35 reps on the bench press at the Carolina Coaches Combine and displayed his mauling mentality in one-on-one reps. We expect the P4 offers to start rolling in for the 6-foot-2, 295-pounder.   [player_tooltip player_id='1856920' first='Tae' last='Wylie'] South Pointe   We can almost sum up what Wylie brings to the table in one mention – he started at left tackle on a Stallions team that cruised to the Class 4A state championship. But just stating that would be an injustice to how good we think Wylie can end up being. He's in the top 10 of the 2028 rankings for a reason and we expect to see the P4 offers start rolling in. If he grows a couple of inches from his current 6-foot-1, 320 pounds, the options could be limitless for a tackle that uses power and finesse to win more battles than he loses.   [player_tooltip player_id='1615022' first='Eli' last='Sanders'] Newberry   When you turn on the film for Sanders the first thing that is noticed is how well he moves for such a big guy. He handles one of the tackle positions for the Bulldogs, but he can get out in front of play to lead the way as well. He's strong, athletic and plays with a ferociousness that's going to carry him a long way. Newberry must retool things offensively this season and Sanders is a solid place to start building around.   [player_tooltip player_id='1301043' first='Jeremiah' last='McGowan'] Dutch Fork   This might be a case of the rich getting richer. The Silver Foxes have won four consecutive Class 5A, Division I titles and are getting a right tackle that will only make the offensive line that much better. McGowan was a mainstay on the AC Flora offensive front and brought that aggression and power to Dutch Fork. He's massive at 6-foot-3, 285 pounds and uses his frame, footwork and length to dominate.   [player_tooltip player_id='1840771' first='Darrenton' last='Jones'] Aiken   Jones could end up playing guard or tackle and that versatility goes a long way in having him in the top 40 of the 2028 Class. The Green Hornets will return a lot of production and they're going to need Jones to be the catalyst up front. Jones can be a powerful presence in blocking in the running game, but he also has shown great technique as a pass blocker. He's going to be a key to the offensive front, and he looks more than ready for the challenge.    SLEEPERS NO MORE   [player_tooltip player_id='1672844' first='Ian' last='Jones'] Woodruff   We all know that Woodruff likes to run the football and that will fit right in with what Jones (pictured) can do in the trenches. Jones got his feet wet as a sophomore, but the expectation is he's going to take a huge jump this offseason and be the leader and contributor the Wolverines need up front to again be a factor in Class 2A this coming season. He's a solid 6-foot-3, 300 pounds and could end up being a dominant performer.   [player_tooltip player_id='1818409' first='Jasper' last='McIntyre'] Dillon   We think McIntyre can be another great offensive lineman to come out of Dillon. He would join a long line of success stories for certain. He's versatile, can play multiple positions and moves about as well as any offensive lineman we've seen this offseason. If he continues his growth, he's going to be used in a Wildcat attack that will sort of be revamping this season with a new quarterback.   [player_tooltip player_id='1824949' first='Jackson' last='Miller'] Powdersville   This Powdersville team is going to be loaded in 2026 due to the sheer fact they played so many underclassmen in 2025 and finished with an 11-3 record. Miller is going to be one of the keys along the offensive front. He's already 6-foot-6, 260 pounds and moves well and uses his length to his advantage. Miller's best football is in front of him.   [player_tooltip player_id='2177604' first='Nol' last='Dixon'] Carolina Forest   We've already mentioned on this site that we liked what Dixon showed at the Carolina Coaches Combine series and we fully expect that production to carry over to the field. He's 6-foot-2, 285 pounds but what might be his most impressive attribute is his 81.75-inch wingspan. He's strong, versatile and quicker than you might think. Add in some aggression and Dixon is probably just scratching the surface on how good he can be.   [player_tooltip player_id='1818507' first='Kemp' last='Tisdale'] Chapin   Tisdale stands 6-foot, 260 pounds and the belief is he's going to grow a few more inches and round into a complete offensive lineman. He also has a head coach in Cory Helms that will know and understand how to get the best out of him. Helms played collegiately at South Carolina and has been a part of rebuilding programs at Cardinal Newman and Pelion. Tisdale will benefit the most from that knowledge and help the Eagles rebound from a winless season.    PRIMED TO RISE   [player_tooltip player_id='1819174' first='Brennan' last='Hammond'] James Island   We watched the Trojans in the playoffs last season against Sumter, and we liked what we saw from Hammond. There's a good chance that Hammond will play guard this coming season, but he can also take snaps at center or tackle. He's very versatile and agile for someone that checks in at 6-foot-2, 270 pounds. James Island will be breaking in a new QB so they need all the protection and guidance they can get up front.    [player_tooltip player_id='1821426' first='Larry' last='Gore'] Lake Marion   Gore is already a two-year starter, and we only see him getting better with time. He handles the center spot and does so with just crispness and accuracy, it's almost a foregone conclusion the snap is anything the Gators must worry about. Gore is a little bit of a mauler and plays with a nasty streak that will fit him well moving forward.   [player_tooltip player_id='1819125' first='Koda' last='Crocker'] Daniel   Crocker missed time last season with an injury but that was only a stumbling block and not the finished story. Daniel has historically produced quality offensive linemen and we believe Crocker is going to fit that mold. He's a big, strong, physical presence that likes to dominate at the point of attack.   [player_tooltip player_id='1823868' first='Caiden' last='Pee'] Lugoff-Elgin   One thing that stands out for Pee is his wingspan and strength. He's powerful and massive and that will fit in well with a Demons attack that will bring back several talented skill position players along with a couple of transfers in the mix. If Pee can be a protector and hole opener at 290 pounds, the Demons might be ready to take the next step in being a contender in a loaded Class 5A.    [player_tooltip player_id='2118328' first='Nathan' last='Cunningham'] Atlantic Collegiate Academy   At 6-foot-3, 280 pounds, we don't think Cunningham has reached his peak height or weight. He handles the center position for the Armada and while he's still growing, he could have opportunities to fill a tackle role before it's all said and done. He's disciplined but plays until the whistle blows and doesn't mind doing the dirty work on the interior of the offensive front.
