A big, physical Offensive Tackle that did a great job of moving his 6-foot-3, 285-pound frame in rhythm. Played with excellent feet for a lineman at this age and level of development. Was able to ride out even the quickest rushers off the edge. Then could turn around on the next play and completely wash out the interior defensive linemen with a down block or combo block.

Looking in my 2028 South Carolina database, McGowan was a kid I entered a note about how he was on the come up. After today’s practice, McGowan is no longer on the come up–he’s up there. He was dominant throughout the first practice, and I only saw him lose one rep all practice. He’s a strong kid that moved quite well for his size. He lists himself at 6-foot-3 and 285-pounds and that’s probably not too far off. His thicker bottom build lends itself more to an Offensive Guard, than the Offensive Tackle he was taking reps at, but he’s got a bright future.
