A lot of prospects across Tennessee have emerged and etched their names as stars in their respective classifications. With the transfer portal calmed down, for now, I'm scouting the top players at each position in each class.

Next in this series, I'll discuss Division II-AAA offensive linemen. Here's a scouting report of my top blockers in DII-AAA.

2029 IOL [player_tooltip player_id='1236042' first='Gabriel' last='Gonzalez'] – Knoxville Catholic

Rising sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1236042' first='Gabriel' last='Gonzalez'] is coming off a sensational freshman season, in which he was named a Rivals First Team All-American at center. He's clearly the best 2029 offensive lineman in Tennessee, but is primed to take the next step in his career.

Gonzalez has a great build for his age, standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 305 pounds with a relatively lean frame. While he weighs that much, the Prep Redzone No. 1 in-state offensive lineman is highly agile and moves well. Additionally, he's very physical and strong, which is an excellent combo for his position.

He's a very nasty, violent player in the trenches, has a strong anchor, gets to the next level efficiently, communicates well with teammates and plays with a relentless motor. While he was elite in 2025, watch for him to be even better after another offseason to develop.

Photo: Knoxville Catholic OL [player_tooltip player_id='1537346' first='Brayden' last='Gonzalez'] at a Prep Redzone camp.

2029 IOL [player_tooltip player_id='1537346' first='Brayden' last='Gonzalez'] – Knoxville Catholic

[player_tooltip player_id='1537346' first='Brayden' last='Gonzalez'] is another elite young buck on Knoxville Catholic's offensive line, and the twin brother of Gabriel. He was also a Rivals Freshman All-American this past season.

The 6-foot-3, 300-pound prospect has high football IQ, communicates well with his teammates and has the confidence of a multi-year starter. He excels in both the run and pass game, but is a better run blocker due to his quickness off the ball and aggressive playstyle.

The rising sophomore is flat-out mean in the trenches and consistently embarrasses defensive players. He has already established himself as one of the top offensive linemen in the state, but he should take the next step in 2026.

2028 OT [player_tooltip player_id='1180873' first='Ashton' last='Coles'] – Ensworth School

Rising junior [player_tooltip player_id='1180873' first='Ashton' last='Coles'] was outstanding last season for the Ensworth Tigers. The 2028 prospect is big and nasty in the trenches with impressive strength. After a strong showing in 2025, he's established himself as one of the top two offensive tackles in a loaded trench class.

Coles is versatile enough to play all over the line, but spent most of his sophomore season at left tackle, where he impressed in arguably the toughest classification in the state. He's excellent at everything, but is at his best when Ensworth gets him active in the run game. At 6-foot-5 and a lean 325 pounds, he's borderline immovable.

Coles also has impressive technique and strong hands, which is a recipe for destroying opposing defensive linemen. The most impressive aspect of his game is his pass protection. Typically, bigger guys, especially at a young age, struggle in that area against shifty defenders. Not Coles. He's quick off the ball, has a nice anchor and outstanding awareness that helps him not get beat off the edge.

2027 OT [player_tooltip player_id='1154143' first='Ben' last='Hale'] – Christ Presbyterian Academy

Rising senior [player_tooltip player_id='1154143' first='Ben' last='Hale'] transferred to CPA last summer, and the move immediately paid off as he improved vastly while transforming his body. He's much leaner while adding good weight, giving him a high-level FBS build.

He plays right tackle for CPA and is one of the most impressive linemen in Tennessee. He excels at several things, but is best at run blocking. Hale does a great job of getting off the ball quickly, immediately engaging with defensive linemen and driving them into the second level.

Since being at CPA, the 2027 offensive tackle has significantly improved as a pass blocker with his technique, and he also demonstrates good awareness to pick up or pass off defenders. Hale has one final offseason to develop, where he could turn into one of the best trench guys in Tennessee, regardless of class.

2027 OT [player_tooltip player_id='1158911' first='Isaiah' last='Bryant'] – Christ Presbyterian Academy

[player_tooltip player_id='1158911' first='Isaiah' last='Bryant'] is another piece to an elite CPA offensive line. He's coming off a successful 2025 season in which he earned Division II-AAA All-East Region honors, helping his team reach the third round of the playoffs.

The rising senior is a good all-around offensive lineman, and it starts with an impressive build. He stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 280 pounds in a lean, athletic frame for his position. Bryant is good at many things, but his run-blocking ability stands out the most. He's quick off the ball and possesses strong hands, allowing him to bully defensive linemen.

The 2027 offensive tackle has sound technique with quick, choppy feet, which help him drive players to the second level and open holes for his running backs. He's solid in pass protection, starting with a good stance and swift feet. The CPA lineman uses those skills well, very rarely getting beaten off the edge.

Bryant also has a strong anchor, and once he sets in, it's extremely tough to move him. He needs to become more polished in certain areas, but the rising senior is undoubtedly one of the more talented offensive lineman prospects in Tennessee.
