NEPSAC Post Grad Transfers Annoucements and Evaluations

Spring in New England has arrived. Each year consistently New England High School football attracts a fresh batch of players pursuing post-graduation opportunities in the NEPSAC. This report will showcase five players who have announced their plans for a post-graduate year in the region, along with a brief film evaluation analysis of their performances from the 2025 season.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    [player_tooltip player_id='1677745' first='Jeremiha' last='Hunter'], a post-graduate transfer from Central York High School to St. Thomas More School, has already gained exposure with a recruiting visit to Temple University football. At 6'2”, 210 pounds, Hunter is an instinctive linebacker who consistently shows a strong nose for the football. He plays with an aggressive downhill mentality, attacking gaps with urgency whether pursuing the quarterback or filling against the run. His ability to diagnose plays quickly allows him to make consistent stops near the line of scrimmage.   Hunter also brings value on special teams, where his motor and physicality translate well in open space. He shows good sideline-to-sideline range and has the versatility to line up both as a traditional middle linebacker and on the edge in run-stopping situations. While his impact as a run defender is clear, additional film in pass coverage would help complete his evaluation. Continued development in coverage responsibilities will elevate his profile as a more complete linebacker at the next level.      [player_tooltip player_id='1537408' first='Deon' last='Johnson'], a post-grad transfer from Allentown Central Catholic High School to Cheshire Academy, has generated recruiting interest with visits to Widener University football, Lock Haven University football, and Eastern University football. At 6'0”, 220 pounds, Johnson stands out as a true dual-threat player who contributes on both sides of the ball. Defensively, he excels as a run-stopping edge presence, showcasing strong block-shedding ability and disciplined gap control.   Johnson demonstrates solid tackling technique and patience, consistently staying home and maintaining assignment integrity. Offensively, he brings value as a dynamic running back, adding versatility to his overall profile. His physical style and football IQ make him a reliable presence in multiple phases of the game. If he plans to focus on playing edge at the next level, adding more size and strength will be important to handle higher-level competition and maximize his effectiveness as a pass rusher.      [player_tooltip player_id='1362931' first='Kevin' last='Cameron'] transfers from Fordham Preparatory School to Suffield Academy for his post-graduate season and has already earned offers from Trinity College football and Colby College football. At 6'2”, 230 pounds, Cameron is an explosive and highly productive edge rusher who consistently disrupts opposing backfields. His pass-rushing ability stands out immediately on film, as he shows a variety of moves and techniques to beat offensive tackles.   Cameron combines quickness with effective hand usage, allowing him to win off the edge and apply constant pressure on the quarterback. His speed and ability to bend around the edge make him a dangerous presence in obvious passing situations. With continued development in functional strength, he has the potential to become even more dominant at the point of attack. Adding strength will help him further improve against the run and elevate his overall consistency as a complete edge defender.      [player_tooltip player_id='2150063' first='Jeremiah' last='Lyons'], a post-graduate transfer from J.J. Pearce High School to The Hotchkiss School, brings high-level instincts and playmaking ability to the secondary. At 5'11”, 190 pounds, Lyons is a natural defensive back with exceptional vision and football IQ. He consistently reads the quarterback effectively, breaking on routes early and putting himself in position to create turnovers.   Lyons is a true ball hawk, capable of changing games with interceptions and big plays. He also makes a major impact on special teams, where he is a dangerous returner with the ability to take kicks back for touchdowns. His combination of awareness, anticipation, and play recognition separates him from many peers. While he has experience on both sides of the ball, focusing primarily on the defensive side will allow him to fully maximize his potential as a high-level safety.      [player_tooltip player_id='1637099' first='Achylles' last='DuPont'], a post-grad transfer from Paramus Catholic High School to The Hotchkiss School, holds an offer from Pace University football and brings elite speed and athleticism to the field. At 5'9”, 185 pounds, DuPont is an explosive running back whose quickness and acceleration immediately stand out on film. He hits running lanes with urgency and has the ability to create big plays with his burst and open-field speed.   DuPont is also a strong pass catcher out of the backfield, adding versatility and value in modern offensive schemes. His balance and ability to maintain speed through contact make him a difficult player to contain in space. While his size may be a limitation in certain situations, his skill set is ideal for a spread offense or third-down role where his speed and receiving ability can be maximized. Continuing to leverage his strengths in space will make him a valuable offensive weapon at the next level.
