Players from across the North East, came up and showed out their skills, which certainly could pay the bills. In this article, we look at a few playmakers who impressed me throughout the weekend.    [player_tooltip player_id='741083' first='Joshua' last='Simmons'] is the Top EDGE Rusher in the state. The Iona Prep playmaker, suited up for Punishers, and went absolutely nuts. On Saturday alone, he had around six touchdown passes. He was the number one target, and found himself open, and with the ability to make catches at any level, and at any time. His hands were like glue, hauling in one hand and contested catches all day Saturday, and throughout the first game Sunday. Simmons easily was a top 15 playmaker in attendance.     Moving up north to Syracuse, we take a look at 2026 Cicero-North Syracuse prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1215184' first='Miyjon' last='McDowell']. The 5'10" 175-Pound athlete was used mainly as a WR threat for Syracuse 302 Elite in Elizabeth. McDowell, was a sharp route runner, whose speed was on full display. He broke free off the line quickly, and showcased elite rout running skills, and good footwork, which saw him open, making catches across the weekend. McDowell was the MVP for the Syracuse squad this past weekend.     The Notre Dame WR, came up North to put on a show during the Garden State Gridiron. Kamara stands at 6'2" 195-Pounds, given him an exceptional build for the WR Position. The Senior Playmaker, had an outstanding showing on Saturday, racking up catches in every game, and finding himself consistently open. Kamara followed up Saturday with an even better Sunday, finding himself as a major playmaker for his squad. Kamara is another player who is easily a top pass catcher from this past weekend.     Rounding out today's article, is [player_tooltip player_id='1238563' first='Cardel' last='Staples']. The LITM Senior, was a player I was excited to watch, and he did not disappoint. The McKinley prospect played on both sides of the ball during this past weekend, and made tremendous plays on both sides as well. Staples was a lockdown corner, who came away with a major pick, where he showcased impressive hands and body control. On offense, his footwork was elite, and his route running saw him find open catches throughout the weekend. Staples did not disappoint this weekend.
