Aidan Carpenter is a talented freshman wide receiver for the Greyhounds and will likely develop into a top recruit. Carpenter displays smooth route running ability, adjusts to the ball nicely in the middle of the air, and has sticky hands. Carpenter has good burst off the LOS. Has a 6-foot, 170-pound frame; growing another couple of inches over the next year would make him a prototypical split end. Keep an eye on him this fall.

Carson Clark is a starting inside receiver for the Greyhounds who has a high ceiling. Reminds me a lot of Northrop WR Maddox Weil. Clark displays great burst off the line of scrimmage and has great long speed to stretch the field vertically and create problems for defenses. Quick in and out of his breaks, he is an explosive playmaker in the slot with home-run threat ability after the catch. Class of 2028 recruit with big-time upside and potential.

Drew Jones is a strong edge rusher for Carmel who has a chance to develop into a special player. 6-foot-2, 200-pound OLB aligns in a two-point stance and flashes explosive edge speed. Well put together frame with time to add bulk. Takes good pursuit angles to the ball, wraps up, and can be very disruptive. Recorded 62 total tackles, six sacks, and 21 QB hurries last season. Loves the gym with a thick upper half and a strong set of legs.

Josiah Gilmore has the potential to be a strong up-and-coming tailback for Carmel. While he can run between the tackles effectively, he is a very good off-tackle runner. He is very good when he gets in space, flashing ability to make defenders miss in the open field. Also a decisive, one-cut-and-go runner who is strong around the goal line. Can also catch and quickly get vertical, making him a dual-threat.

Notes: The Greyhounds' new indoor practice facility is state-of-the-art, on par with any college team. Carmel is also excited about '28 quarterback/athlete Mychael Lewis. Carmel has two other playmakers on offense, '27 running back Josiah Gilmore and '28 wide receiver Alim Broadnax, who did not practice .... Expect Broadnax to have a bigger role on varsity in 2026; he is very good after-the-catch. Jackson Treadway, a Class of 2027 quarterback, did not practice but will likely have a role to play in 2026 - he finished last season with 1,613 passing yards and 16 touchdowns last year with 300 yards and five touchdowns rushing.
