5-6 Finish Serves As Motivation For Talented Sanford Seminole

When Sanford Seminole head football coach Karl Calhoun Jr. and his staff look back at the 2025 season, they saw a number of games that could have gone either way.   As this program heads toward spring, the reality of what happened last season – no matter how you rationalize things – is the Seminoles lost six times. That is something that this team and their fans are used to – at all!   While many who follow this game believe that the 2026 season could see this program turn things around with plenty of talent coming back along with some new faces. But once again we go back to the reality of a 5-6 season and a first-round state playoff loss, so if there is going to be improvement and this gifted group is to win the district and make a serious run, the proof has to come on the field.   With several area teams not expected to be as strong as they have been, there is a path for the Seminoles, but that path begins this spring and summer and must translate to the fall.
