2029 Watchlist Breakdown: Passing Game Playmakers Part 2

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>The 2029 class is already flashing intriguing talent in the passing game, with a group of young playmakers beginning to emerge as early standouts. From dynamic receivers to versatile tight ends, these prospects bring a mix of athleticism, ball skills, and upside as they continue to develop.</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Henry flashes great upside and potential as he works up to the varsity level. He's got good length in his frame at 6'1” and flashes a well-rounded skillset combining his route running ability and ball skills. He's quick off the line with a hard drive against soft coverage and shows he can release against press. Sharp route runner that demonstrates quick cut ability and sudden moves at the top. Plus ball skills, he's confident with his hands and extends to play the ball outside his framework. One to watch as he progresses.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Jackson checks a lot of boxes as an early college prospect at either WR or TE depending on development. Already possesses a projectable frame with length and growth potential at 6'2” 180 lbs. In addition to his size, he carries the speed to stretch the field and work vertically. His high level ball skills make him a threat on 50/50 balls downfield and in the redzone. Tracks the ball naturally into his hands and shows he can make contested catches in traffic. Strong perimeter blocker that can engage and sustain in space with good hand usage. A guy to put on the radar early.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Chancey flashes a solid foundational skillset to build on as a freshman. Good all around game speed, he sustains speed throughout his routes and can break away after the catch. Creates space at all three levels being able to locate the soft spot against zone coverage and separate against man. After the catch, he can slip tacklers and out run angles to extend gains. Like his ability to keep working and open up second chance throwing lanes on broken plays. Would like to see him develop into more of a hands catcher rather than using his body. Skillset could transition well to either side of the ball.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Dunn is a reliable target out of the slot that can run a wide route tree. He understands leverage and has good spatial awareness to get open and be a QB friendly target. Shows good body control and strong hands at the catch point. Smoothly adjusts to ball flight and can find paths around defenders to get to the football. Can attack all areas of the field effectively, not afraid to work across the middle and play the ball in traffic, push vertically, or separate underneath. Creative route runner that separates easily with good start/stop speed, tempo changes, and burst out of the break. Like his ability to maintain speed through his change of direction and cuts. Strong at the catch point, he attacks the ball in the air and can fight through contact to win contested throws. Also shows he can play the ball outside his frame on off target throws. Explosive after the catch, he's elusive with good lateral agility and a sustained second gear to break away in space.
