At the end of January, we officially released our first 2029 rankings in the state of Kentucky. Since then, I have broken down the top five players at each position in the class. With that being said, I have been continuing our 2029 rankings coverage by focusing on some players who have caught my attention but are just outside the top five at their position. After already covering the offensive skill players, here are some under the radar offensive linemen to keep an eye on in the class of 2029 in the state of Kentucky.

[player_tooltip player_id='1772773' first='Caleb' last='Huffman'] made an immediate impact on the varsity level as a freshman. He lined up at left tackle where he was able to assert his dominance in a run-heavy Danville offense. Huffman does a great job of running his feet through contact to create movement off the line of scrimmage with ease. Caleb plays with a ton of physicality, showing the ability to use a strong initial punch to knock defenders off their feet with ease. He has also shown the ability to pull from the tackle spot and pick up blocks in the open field. Huffman is a player who college coaches should definitely have on their radar over the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1648830' first='Herlan' last='Leyva Ramirez'] is another offensive lineman who made an impact at the varsity level as a freshman. He lined up at right guard where he was very impressive as a run blocker. Ramirez is explosive out of his stance and does a great job of keeping his feet churning through contact to drive his man down the field quickly. He finishes his blocks with a ton of physicality, resulting in frequent pancake blocks. In pass protection, he gets into his pass sets quickly and maintains a strong base while absorbing contact. Herlan will be a player to keep an eye on as he continues to develop over the next three seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='1764274' first='Gavin' last='Carwile'] played in mainly a reserve/JV role this past season but he put together some impressive freshman year film. He lined up at left tackle where he proved to be reliable in pass protection. Gavin has shown the footwork to mirror opposing pass rushers off the edge with ease, continuing to kick back in his pass sets to keep his man away from the quarterback. He also does a great job of fighting with his hands to defeat pass rush moves and keep inside position. In the run game, Carwile has shown the ability to wall off his man and drive them out of the picture to create a running lane for the ball career. I'm intrigued to see how Gavin's career progresses as he receives more varsity opportunities moving forward.

The final under-the-radar 2029 offensive lineman in Kentucky who has stood out to me is [player_tooltip player_id='1776559' first='Kam' last='Wells']. Wells saw some varsity time at guard as a freshman where he proved to be very reliable in the run game. He is very impressive in the open field, using his high motor to get to the second level in a hurry then showing the awareness to pick up blocks with ease. Wells explodes through contact and finishes his blocks with a ton of physicality, often ending in a pancake block. Kam will be a player worth keeping an eye on as he continues to grow and develop over the next few seasons.
