Tone Setters: 2027 Offensive Linemen With Elite Upside

We're moving to the offensive trenches today to highlight a group of talented and rising linemen who are blossoming at the right time.    Beamon is an aggressive tackle who can dominate in the running game. He's got elite size and arm length, which helps him with first reach. He plays with good pad level and doesn't let smaller guys get up underneath his pads. He'll bury his block and look for more. He plays hungry and helps clear lanes with ease. He's well coached in both phases and has good hand placement and a strong punch in pass protection, which throws the defender off his lane. I feel he's a vastly underrated recruit who can and will make a team better on Saturdays.     Burkholder is a good athlete playing on the outside of the line who is good in both pass pro and in the running game. He's got no issue handling 5 techs who try to take that inside lane. He's off the ball fairly quickly and stays off his heels. He's got quick feet for a guy with his frame, and he can change direction fairly well. He's consistent down in and down out while playing within his framework. He earned an All-State nod this year for good reason and heads into his senior year as a guy who can end up as a steal for the right program.     Griffin is a small school stud who has good size and length for the front line. He's fairly nimble for a guy his size and bends well. He's got a strong core and can win right at the point of attack. He doesn't struggle to hand off blitzers, and he is athletic enough to get downfield to be a lead blocker. He's light on his feet and doesn't get caught with his hands on the outside. He earned an All-State nod for a reason, and he is starting to pick up traction because of his consistency and relentless playstyle.     Bunton is a big and powerful tackle with great mobility and explosiveness on the line. He can get downfield in a hurry to be a lead blocker. He's then got the size and length to move around in pass protection and gain depth, move side to side, and clear the edge. He can win with technique or power, depending on the matchup. I like how responsive he is at the line and the sense of urgency he plays with. He finishes blocks and plays through the whistle and strikes me as someone who shows up, develops, and becomes a reliable starter at the next level.     Owens is a powerful tackle with good upside and potential. The frame is real, and he's got strong hands at the line. He's good in pass pro and can gain depth properly. He's able to move laterally and not get beaten on the outside. He'll finish blocks into the ground and play through the whistle. He's capable of going on the move but is best when blocking downhill or protecting the QB. He's a multi-year starter who will have plenty of reps and experience for when he gets to the next level.     Goddard is a multi-year starter for Adams, who continues to improve and develop his frame in real time. He plays with good pad level and can get underneath the pads of the defender across from him. He's decent in pass protection and can gain depth fairly easily while staying off his heels. He's got a good feel for pressure and can hand off blitzers as he should. He seems to be smart and instinctive, which helps him in every aspect.
