JAG Elite was your 14U Route 66 Classic 7 on 7 tournament champions hosted by Prep Redzone this past weekend. All eight players for Jag Elite are in the class of 2030 and currently play at Monticello Trails and Mill Creek out of the Shawnee, Kansas. All eight athletes will attend the same high school at Mill Valley High School in Shawnee next year. As an overall team, JAG Elite played fundamental football that ended up helping them win the championship game on Sunday. In the previous articles, I wrote about day 2 standouts which included 3 athletes on JAG Elite - Nash Borchardt, Teddy Danielson and [player_tooltip player_id='2156868' first='Dexter' last='Dibble'] where you can find their article here

Kyson Seibert

A good athlete for team JAG Elite was Kyson who excelled on both sides of the ball. Kyson works really hard to get open and showed reliable hands. Kyson ran good routes that were sharp and precise. He also showed that he can gain separation at the top of his route. On the defensive side of the ball, he has a good football IQ where he showed he understood wide receivers leverage to help gain an advantage.

Vince Fuhrken

Vince was an athlete who played both sides of the ball who helped contribute at wide receiver and in the secondary. Vince showed that he is a good route runner with nice hands. I like how Vince accelerates out of his breaks and tracks the ball. On the defensive side of the ball, he plays really good technique and how he drives on the defender when the ball is in the air. Vince understands passing concepts and is patient.

Jackson Friedman

Jackson was another athlete that was all over the field making plays for both offense and defense. He drives on the ball and made several pass break ups on their way to the championship game. He didn't bite on double moves and stays patient while in coverage. He runs good short to intermediate routes and knows how to get open.

JJ Lundrell

JJ played both running back and weak side safety in the tournament this past weekend. JJ was a consistent player out on the field and helped on both sides of the ball. He has good footwork and sinks his hips to help him change direction. He showed quick transitions from his pedal to his break and drive on the ball.

Jameson Oaks

Jameson has a long athletic frame that plays out at corner that I liked watching him compete at. He has a good smooth back pedal that plays good technique all the way around. In the championship game, he had a nice interception where he drove on the ball and made a nice play. He does a good job in staying in phase with other receivers all while having good eye discipline.
