Spring practice is right around the corner. A lot of prospects across Tennessee have emerged and etched their names as stars in their respective classifications. With much of the transfer portal calmed down for now, I'm scouting the top players at each position in each class.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1687518' first='Bradley' last='Stamper'] – University School of Jackson

[player_tooltip player_id='1687518' first='Bradley' last='Stamper'] is an impressive defensive back prospect from University School of Jackson, where he's established himself as a top player in Tennessee. He was highly productive in 2025, leading the Bruins in interceptions while being one of the true lockdown defensive backs in Division II-A.

He offers great size for the position, standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 182 pounds with a longer frame that gives him a significant advantage over nearly everyone. Stamper fits the mold of a safety at the next level, but plays cornerback at USJ due to his athleticism and elite boundary skills.

The rising senior moves extremely well, flips his hips quickly, has good instincts and has a great feel for his surroundings. Stamper has shown the ability to be a ball hawk, making him the most complete and likely best defensive back in the classification.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2131341' first='Jacob' last='Snider'] – University School of Jackson

[player_tooltip player_id='2131341' first='Jacob' last='Snider'] is another impressive defensive back from University School of Jackson, where he's coming off a good season that earned him Prep Redzone All-State honors. He recorded 37 tackles, three for a loss and three interceptions in 2025, proving that he's one of the top players in the classification.

He's good in coverage, showcasing his ability to go stride-for-stride with any receiver, impressive athleticism, good instincts and polished skills.

Snider is also a good tackler, allowing his coaches to keep him on the field on every down, not just on obvious passing plays. The rising senior is a solid all-around player with college potential.

2028 [player_tooltip player_id='1588776' first='Hudson' last='Smith'] – Nashville Christian School

[player_tooltip player_id='1588776' first='Hudson' last='Smith'] from Nashville Christian is one of the most underrated yet best defensive backs in Tennessee. In 13 games this last season, he totaled 30 tackles, two for a loss and two interceptions.

Smith is well-built, standing 6-foot and weighing 180 pounds, with a thicker frame for someone his size, yet he still maintains his athleticism. He's excellent from his safety position, patrolling center field and limiting big plays.

Smith has also shown the ability to be a solid ball hawk, picking off multiple passes in his sophomore season. The rising junior is the real deal and has P4 potential with his size, athleticism and polished skills.

2027 Reed Williamson – Trinity Christian Academy

Reed Williamson burst onto the scene in 2025 as a first-year starter with Trinity Christian Academy. In 13 games, he totaled 40 tackles, two for a loss, two interceptions and 13 pass deflections. The rising senior posted solid stats and proved to be a lockdown defensive back, allowing few catches.

He possesses a good build, standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 180 pounds, with a nice frame that allows him to be physical with receivers.

Williamson tackles well, has solid footwork, shows strong football IQ and good instincts. The 2027 prospect heads into his senior season as one of the top corners in Division II-A.

2029 [player_tooltip player_id='1031934' first='Dasani' last='Moulden'] – Concord Christian School

[player_tooltip player_id='1031934' first='Dasani' last='Moulden'] is a future superstar at wide receiver, but also excels at defensive back. As a freshman last season, he recorded 53 tackles, four interceptions and 10 pass deflections in all 11 games.

The 2029 prospect is a smaller player, standing 5-foot-7 and weighing 150 pounds, but has some of the best athleticism and physical traits of people his age. Moulden notched a 4.57 40-yard dash with a 35” vertical and a 4.37 shuttle time, which are all among the best in his class.

Not many players are already that physically gifted with polished skills for their age. A lot of his tape is at outside cornerback, but I could see him playing anywhere on the field due to his athleticism. While he's smaller, the 2029 prospect has an impressive vertical that allows him to match up well with bigger players.

Moulden flips his hips well, has sound footwork, shows a high football IQ, nice instincts and the skills to lock down receivers across the field.
