Xavier especially stood out at receiver, where he excels as a route runner, displaying quick footwork, a great release, and sharpness in his breaks. With his route running, Rucks showed he can work the short and intermediate areas of the field and has the wheels to threaten defenses vertically. Great hands at the catch point. Xavier also had a critical PBU in the championship game that helped get the opposing offense off the field. Very promising player who already looked like one of the more polished receivers in this 12u tournament.

Notable standouts:

Team: 412 Elite

Carter Jones, out of Pennsylvania, is a player who is going to land on recruiting boards as soon as teams start scouting the '32 class. Carter played both receiver and DB for 412 Elite, but I was impressed with his play at cornerback, where he had one of the best interceptions I've seen, regardless of division. Jones is a lengthy DB with solid size that should continue to develop well in the upcoming years. He plays a physical style of football, as he won't hesitate to press receivers at the line and knows how to play through the receivers' hands to force incompletions. Great mobility and change of direction allow him stay in-step with receivers through their routes.

Team: NSSA

When I say receiver Tristan Tarquinio stood out immediately, that is not an exaggeration, as the NSSA receiver stood nearly a full head taller than a majority of the opposition.
