Class A of New York State Football, bolsters an impressive 73 teams, from across all areas of the state. The talent is legit in Class A, with loaded rosters, and constant D1 Production. The last three Class A champions, have hailed from Section One, with Somers taking 2/3, and Rye finishing with an impressive undefeated season this year. With a new season approaching, who will be the next Class A Champion? The 2028 prospect, plays for Niagara-Wheatfield, and had a decent season in 2025. Despite missing out on the playoffs, the 5'10" 150-Pound QB, showcased good anticipation with his throws, and displayed a strong arm, paired with good accuracy. He should look to continue filling out his frame, as he is on the slimmer side with his build, but Chmaj has the ability to ball, and a fresh season with more confidence, can lead to him putting Section 6, and Class A on notice this season.

Next up we find a Signal Caller, who has somehow become underrated. starting as a Freshman is impressive, especially in Class A. Not only did Anderson start, he dominated, leading his team to an impressive 7-2 record in 2025. Anderson is my top 2029 prospect, and I predict him to become a national recruit soon. he demonstrates elite pocket presence, and displays a good touch on balls. He can change his velocity on throws, while showcasing a strong arm with good accuracy. Anderson had 22 touchdowns, and 10 picks this past season, and I expect big numbers from the top 2029 prospect soon.

Heading down south to Section Nine, we have [player_tooltip player_id='2152640' first='Sage' last='Caesar']. The Cornwall Central squad, found themselves close to a Section Championship yet again, with a Semi-Final loss to Rye. Senior Danny Twomey led the team at QB, and had a solid season throwing the ball. Caesar will take over this season, and with the loss of RB Jordan Bishop, the ball will be thrown more. Caesar displays a high IQ, along with good accuracy and arm strength. He is a true dual threat QB, who utilizes the pocket to his advantage. With the constant success of Cornwall Central, don't be surprised to see Caesar have a breakout campaign.

Brighton fell just short of a Class A championship this season, and held Section 1 Rye, to one of its lowest offensive games all season. While Brighton came up short, there is a lot to celebrate, as they return key starters, and a QB, who is poised to breakout. [player_tooltip player_id='2098975' first='Ethan' last='Bialaszewski'], burst onto the scene for the Bruins, and he performed well throughout the year. He is a terrific athlete, with a good IQ, strong arm, and impressive pocket presence. Bialaszewski, will easily be a QB to watch next year, and Brighton, will be a team to beat in Class A.

Section 2 is stacked with talent, and the playmakers continue to get better. Niskayuna had a solid season in 2025, making a deep playoff run, and falling short against Cornwall Central. The man leading the charge, was [player_tooltip player_id='2112893' first='Thomas' last='Boler']. Boler was an excellent playmaker, who had 17 touchdowns last year. He displayed good anticipation, a strong pocket presence, and the ability to move between reads throughout the pocket. While Niskayuna graduates Cam Grasso, the 2028 athlete, is easily a breakout candidate, and Niskayuna is certainly a team to beat in Section 2.

Rounding out the list, keeps us in Section Two. Troy was an impressive squad last season, who fell just short of the Section championship, in a loss to Niskayuna. One major player stood out, and that was 2028 QB [player_tooltip player_id='2035657' first='Kyair' last='Carr']. Carr had an outstanding year, with 27 touchdowns, and over two thousand yards from scrimmage. He has a high IQ, and displays an excellent vision one the football field, consistently making the right read. Carr with a new year, and a returning squad, makes Troy a team to beat. With his stats, and performance last year, he is easily a player to watch as a breakout candidate.
