New York Recruiting Report: March 8th

In this article we take a look at recruiting news from across the state of New York, including Offers, Junior Day Visits, Spring Practice invites, and any other recruiting news our talented New York athletes receiver during this hectic offseason. The Patchogue-Medford TE, made his first impression at our showcase in Warwick, is a monster, standing at 6'6" 260-Pounds. Johnstone is a 2028 prospect who will find himself highly ranked in the next 2028 update. The Long Island playmaker is currently visiting UMass for their Junior Day, and touring their campus.     Next is Archbishop Stepinac Lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1364039' first='Daniel' last='Davitt']. Davitt is massive, standing at 6'8" 295-Pounds, and towering over players on the field. He ranks as the 26th best Lineman in 2027 before the rankings update. Daniel visited UConn yesterday for a spring practice, and will likely head up later in the spring for another visit. Davitt had this to say about his visit.   <blockquote class="wp-block-quote"> The intensity and physicality of a practice this early in the spring, was great to see. </blockquote>     Moving to another Catholic League player, we have [player_tooltip player_id='1575806' first='Matthew' last='Arias']. The Chaminade Playmaker, stands at 6'2" 250-Pounds, giving him an excellent frame for a DL/EDGE. Arias attended our showcase in December, where he put on a show, finishing as one of the top Defensive Prospects in attendance. Arias shared his Spring schedule with me, and while he doesn't have dates yet, he stated he will be attending Cornell and Lehigh for Junior Day visits, and Buffalo and Marist for Spring Practices.     Moving to another Archbishop Stepinac Prospect, we have DB [player_tooltip player_id='1639438' first='Prince' last='Akoko']. He ranks as the 81st best player in the state, and sits as the 10th DB before the update. Standing at 6'0" 170-Pounds, he displays a solid frame for the position. Akoko shared his Spring Schedule with me, and has three Junior Day Visits lined up so far. While dates are not yet final, the Catholic League DB, plans to attend Trinity College, AIC, and New Hampshire Junior Days.     Last in today's update is Geneva DB [player_tooltip player_id='211972' first='Travis' last='Tolbert Jr.'] Standing at 5'8" 170-Pounds, the Geneva DB, displays a solid frame for the position, and ranks 8th at the position, and 68th in the state in the 2027 Class. Tolbert is fresh off a visit to Cornell, and had this to say about his trip to the Big Red.   <blockquote class="wp-block-quote"> The brotherhood amongst the players was very strong, and the connections one can have playing at a place like Cornell is unrivaled... they are really investing into athletics with their 55 million dollar indoor facility... definitely a top option for me. </blockquote>
