NE 2028s Who Can Go From Watchlist to Can’t Miss This Fall (Pt 2)

With these new evals comes the movement of several watchlist players who have either emerged throughout the spring or have posted tape, so we can now do a fair evaluation.   Check out these five players who have the potential to go from watchlist prospect to can't-miss playmaker:   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    With the Jr. Jays losing some key members of their secondary to graduation, expect some young guns to get in and start making an impact early. One name to watch is sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1686609' first='Michael' last='Comer'], who was a standout on their JV squad at cornerback. Comer displayed impressive coverage skills, with quick footwork and fluid hips during his backpedal and when changing direction. He has underrated speed, which allows him to stay step-for-step with receivers through their routes. Good physicality in coverage, displaying the willingness to challenge receivers at the catch point. He is also quick to break on the ball to make a stop against the run.     Omaha Central's [player_tooltip player_id='1366330' first='Tasean' last='Brown'] is another player who will benefit from the departures of seniors and transfers. Tasean played sparingly on varsity as a sophomore, mostly in the slot, where he showed a lot of potential as a modern nickel DB. Tasean showed that he is fluid and instinctive enough to drop back or blanket a receiver in coverage, while also being willing to step into the box to provide extra support against the run. Definitely someone to start monitoring now.      Bellevue West's [player_tooltip player_id='1686583' first='Samuel' last='Beiser'] is a player we've been keeping tabs on since his freshman season as someone who could emerge as a serious prospect. Beiser checks the boxes when it comes to size and measurables with a strong, sturdy 6'4" and 300-pound frame. He has only a few clips on Hudl, but in those clips you can see a physical lineman who is aggressive at the point of attack. Sam also showed the power and strength in his base, driving defenders off the ball to open up huge running lanes. This could be the year Beiser puts himself on the map!      The Glock name is well-known in Wahoo, and it looks like up-and-comer Landon is built to continue on that legacy. Landon played a limited role as a sophomore, recording six tackles and a TFL, but will likely take on a bigger role next fall. He's a lengthy 6'4" defender who is listed as a defensive lineman but could also slip into a LB/EDGE hybrid depending on how he continues to fill out physically. With graduation taking its toll on the Warriors' roster, that could leave several opportunities for Landon to find his way into a starting role. Keep an eye on this guy!     <a href="https://x.com/collintippery7" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@collintippery7)</a>   Incoming junior is set to join the Millard West Wildcats this upcoming season and will have an opportunity to earn a starting role. He looked great in a backup role for the Millard South Patriots, having thrown 242 passing yards, four passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. Collin's passing accuracy stood out on film as he showed that he can place the ball in a great spot where only his receiver can get it. He reads defenses well and does great moving through his progressions, looking for an open target.
