This past Sunday the action was in McPherson, KS as Revive Performance and McPherson College put on an early-season camp-combine that reeled in 160+ athletes from 22 states.

There was a considerable contingent from the Kansas-Oklahoma-Missouri three-state region but also numerous players from as far away as Florida and California.

Revive Performance led by Kegan Schumann @SchumannKegan , and Shannon Rewerts @coach_rewerts , had the Revive support team ready and they were on their game making sure everyone was attended to.

McPherson Head Coach Jeremiah Fiscus, @CoachJFisc , and Defensive Coordinator, Mitch Leppke, @CoachLeppke , and a large group of Bulldog assistants and active players were on hand to enthusiastically help and provide support as needed.

The Mac turnaround and culture development the last few years has been over-the-top impressive.

Also on hand to video the event was @MarketAthletes , who did a great job capturing all the action like they usually do.

There was an impressive group of Kansas ballers on hand who I will be covering in follow-up articles but I wanted to start with a group of multi-positional playmakers who showed well on Sunday to get the ball rolling.

So without further adieu, let's take a closer look at these guys:

[player_tooltip player_id='1250567' first='Brody' last='Sedlacek'] , 6'0, 200, LB/RB, Hanover, '27, (PICTURED ABOVE) - coming off a recent state championship in basketball, which followed winning the state title in football, this two-way baller has shifted into overdrive for his senior season. He has been training with Kegan Schumann and Revive Performance in his spare time and made a solid showing on Sunday showcasing his versatile talents. A two-way player he can pound the rock on offense but has really put an exclamation point on his game as a head-hunting LB who racked up almost 100 tackles a year ago. This guy is laser focused and is going to put on a senior-season encore performance.

[player_tooltip player_id='1604524' first='Benjamin' last='Bell']. 6'1, 195, ATH, Lincoln, '27, he is another two-way baller who is coming off an outstanding junior season on both sides of the ball. Last year he piled up 503 yards rushing, caught 43 passes for 783 yards and added 13 total TD's. As good as he was on offense he was just as impressive on defense with 100+ tackles as a roving ball-buster with great closing speed. He is also one of the few players to record the ultra-rare triple-pancake block on the same play last fall, when he flattened the first three defenders he ran into in a game earlier in the season. His camp performance was strong - so good in fact McPherson offered him on the spot. Get your popcorn ready, he is gonna put on a show.

[player_tooltip player_id='1907001' first='Landry' last='Fitzgerald'] , 6'2, 215, MLB/ATH, Liberal, '28, up first for the class of '28 is a guy I have been following closely since his freshman season when he was a rare starting middle linebacker for the 5A Redskins. He followed that great start with an even more impressive season last fall as a mauling, brawling linebacker who was in on 90+ tackles, five tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He has just wrapped up wrestling and has shifted gears to baseball and track this summer while continuing to hone his craft training and going to camps. This guy is a stud and this past Sunday his next-level frame, speed and athleticism were on full display.

[player_tooltip player_id='1664439' first='Cooper' last='Bruna'] , 6'0, 200, RB/LB, Hanover, '28, up next for the juniors to be is another Hanover standout LB and two-way baller coming off state championship seasons seasons in both football and basketball. I recently featured him and his predatory defensive game when he had 116 tackles last fall and 18 tackles in the title game. He has already been a force on the camp-combine circuit with standout performances in all the major events. He is also working hard with Revive Performance every Saturday morning and the gains have been impressive as he will roll into the '26 season weighing 200+ pounds and running a scorching 4.52 forty. This guy is just getting warmed up - expecting big things this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1657257' first='Cole' last='Ranieri'] , 6'0, 170, QB/LB, Nemaha Central, '28, he is another one from the class of '28 who I featured recently as a young gun quarterback who is going to get his opportunity to start this season after backing up an all-stater last fall. He is a dual-threat athlete of a QB who can also play LB or in the secondary as needed. He brings to the table a versatile arm that is going to give the Thunder a whole different dimension to their game with his impressive ball placement, touch on the long ball and ability to layer in the tough throws between levels. He also had a strong outing Sunday and showed off his speed and overall athleticism. This guy is going to air it out this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1331011' first='Ryder' last='Sedlacek'] , 5'10, 165, QB, Hanover, '29, and last but certainly not least is the third representative from the state champion Hanover teams. As a freshman he saw limited action on both sides of the ball but it has been invaluable experience playing and training with the upperclassmen who have set the tone for how sports are going to be played for the Wildcats in the forseeable future. It won't be long until he is one of the team leaders carrying the torch going forward. In the meantime he has been training hard with Revive and paying his underclassmen dues along the way. He had a good showing Sunday in McPherson - the talent and drive is there. Looking forward to watching his development.

In conclusion, get out and see these talented players - you won't be disappointed! Also, if you know of any players not getting any/enough coverage that they deserve, please feel free to DM me via X so we can take care of that!

And, most importantly...

Keep Grindin'
