In this article, I give my first impression of several Class of 2028 prospects from the state of Maryland and Washington, D.C. This is the first time I've had a chance to look at these prospects. All of these players have posted 2025 season highlight videos on their respective Hudl profile pages.

Dossouvi earned first-team defense honors as a defensive tackle last season. He's currently getting solid interest at the FCS level and has offers from Howard and New Hampshire to show for it. Dossouvi really gets off the ball quickly. During one play, he does a great job of knocking back an offensive lineman with his initial contact, using a swim move to get past him, and then making the sack. He is not playing games out there. Even when he's initially blocked, Dossouvi sheds quickly to make the tackle. The spring evaluation season should definitely bring more interest and a few offers his way.

Williford was a new addition to the 2028 rankings back in February. Syracuse, Colorado, and South Florida are among his early offers. He's fast out of the gate, gets north-south, and runs with enough power to consistently break tackles. I'm impressed with his cut game as well. Williford does a solid job of pressing the line of scrimmage before picking which hole to burst through. He gets to top speed quickly as well.

The big man is very inactive on social media, which may be one of the bigger reasons he's probably underrecruited. He's a raw (in a good way) talent. You can see he has some essential tools for his size (can't miss 6-6, 280). In pass protection, I'm impressed with how Benka-Coker uses his length to his advantage on a consistent basis. He is explosive out of his stance. Even though he isn't mowing people down, he's an effective blocker. If a few things get tweaked during this off-season, he has a great chance of being a nice diamond-in-the-rough for some school to find.

Waddy finished the 2025 season with five interceptions. He has a reported offer from Howard University. His first two plays are pick-sixes that demonstrate a lot of things at once. One, his ability to read the eyes of the quarterback, quickness and reaction time to the throw, and the confidence of knowing he has to make the play, or it might result in a touchdown for the offense. There's actually a third pick-six within the first four plays that demonstrates what I just mentioned. Those are attention-grabber players. I love how fast he comes out of his breaks, and there's no rounding it out. Superb playmaker at cornerback.

Alasoro lines up mostly at the edge for his high school's defense, and he usually stands up. I think he'd be best suited inside if he gets a chance to play at the next level. Alasaro does a good job of controlling the edge and sometimes making plays in the backfield. I think if he continues to work on his explosiveness and agility, he might be able to make a transition to middle linebacker if all else fails.

Syracuse, Delaware State, and Toledo are offers reported in the middle of 2025. The first several plays in his highlights go back and forth from wide receiver to defensive back. The first play is an explosive one, with him scoring on a 30-plus-yard fade route. There are also some solid coverage plays with him playing in zone coverage. Highest ceiling? Looks like a cornerback.

Williams received offers from both Central Florida and Boston College back on January 30th. His highlight reel gets straight to the point. You see him in zone coverage, man coverage, and special teams. Williams looks like he has some speed in his game and solid technique in coverage. The highlights are only 1:35 long. There is also a highlight where he comes up and makes a tackle in the run game. I'd like to see more pass coverage clips if available.

Rigby finished the 2025 season with 75 total tackles made, two sacks, and five tackles for a loss. Rigby does a nice job of diagnosing plays early and putting himself in position to make tackles. He wraps up nicely and takes good angles from his middle linebacker position. If he continues to improve his explosiveness when attacking the football, his game will go up another level.

Springs are dominant at the point of attack. In the few pass protection plays that I watched, he quickly takes control of the offensive lineman he faces and drives them into the ground. A strong base with solid lower-body strength gives him the ability to move people. HE's definitely a road-grader who displaces whomever he's blocking. I can see why they have him at tackle. Springs truly controls the edge on his film. Most likely, he'll be moved inside to guard at the next level, where he'll definitely thrive as an offensive lineman.
