<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The 2029 class is already showing promising signs. This group of young prospects brings intriguing athleticism, upside, and early flashes on film. Here's a look at some 2029 names to know as they begin their rise.</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Outstanding freshman season for the Casa Grande DB totaling 86 tackles, 5 pass deflections, and an interception. 6'1” 170 lbs. he's got a projectable frame with good growth potential to add mass as he develops. Constantly attacking he is equally effective in coverage and coming downhill in support. He plays fast with good range to cover ground and burst to close space. Reactionary speed stands out showing good processing ability and anticipation to diagnose the play and trigger to the ball. Violent at the POA, he initiates contact with leverage and force while accelerating through to finish to the ground. His versatility could see him be recruited on either side of the ball at multiple positions with D1 potential.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Flashed his playmaking ability and upside as a freshman on varsity for Desert Edge. 6'2” 190 lbs. there's a lot to like about his frame and skillset. A strong athlete that runs and moves well, he shows good coordination and body control as a route runner, pass catcher, and after the catch. Confident hands at the catch point, he tracks and adjust smoothly to ball flight and extends to play it outside his framework. Advanced route runner for a freshman, he separates from coverage easily by being creative and establishing positional leverage using stems. Expect him to be an impact player and on the recruiting radar early.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Hasenyager has shown good raw potential that blends well with his natural tools. 5'11” 155 lbs. he flashes good athletic ability including speed, quickness, and body control that translate to separation and playmaking ability. Moves well in space with the ability to accelerate and create after the catch. Ball skills stand out demonstrating good judgement and tracking skills combined with strong hands to attack the ball in the air. Uses his body well to create leverage and compete for the ball at the high point. He's got a developing frame and a strong foundational skillset to build on. Shows good initial quickness and the ability to get up field to penetrate early. Shows early signs of hand usage and variation of block beating moves but right now relies on athleticism and speed to free himself up. Excels as a pass rusher that can bend off the edge and collapse the pocket. High effort player that is quick to locate ball location and chase.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Whitaker is an impressive young DB that flashed a lot of key traits as a freshman to project as a quality future prospect. 6'0” 170 lbs. he's got a long frame with the athleticism to match and natural coverage instincts. Demonstrates fluid movement skills throughout his back pedal and transition, showing clean and controlled footwork throughout. Stays in phase with good change of direction and route recognition as the play develops. Flashes plus ball skills and times out his breaks well to play the ball at the catch point. Like his ability to play press and use his hands to be physical and disrupt route timing.
