DORCHESTER | Sunday's Carolinas Coaches Combine at Woodland gave us a chance to see seniors in two of the three sessions.

And there was no shortage of talent on display offensively from the Lower State as we saw some great individual connections from quarterbacks and wide receivers, offensive line showcasing their strength at the bench press and running backs who ran hard and took advantage of their opportunities, which is where we'll start our notes package from session two:

[player_tooltip player_id='1823625' first='Tristan' last='Daniels'] of Saluda did a good job of planting his foot and then turning and getting back out to finish the run during the individual time that we saw with the running backs. [player_tooltip player_id='1819669' first='Luke' last='Downey'] of Stall has a good burst after taking off with the carry. He doesn't dance in space, and does what the run is designed to do.

[player_tooltip player_id='1654810' first='Drelyn' last='Brown'] (pictured above) of South Aiken did a nice job during the individual period of moving in between of the dummies, showing good lateral movement, and then turning and exploding to finish off the run. Brown made catches with his eyes and hands during the one-on-one period.

We went over and looked at the offensive line during their individual period to take a look at some of their pass pro sets – [player_tooltip player_id='1816302' first='Kamori' last='Hawkins'] from West Florence and [player_tooltip player_id='1824291' first='Michael' last='Runfolo'] from Atlantic Collegiate both won their individual matchups during the 1-on-1 period, showing good hand movement, effort and toughness while not allowing the defensive line to get penetration.

Crestwood's [player_tooltip player_id='1823367' first='Ladarius' last='Thompson'] did a good job of staying vertical and keeping his body under control in the line. He had 22 reps on the bench press during the combine. Blain Boulagner from Goose Creek had a solid rep with pass protection to his left. Boulanger was violent with his hands on one rep that we saw in the individual period. Boulagner also hit 18 reps on the bench press.

Other notables from the bench press on the offensive line include Strom Thurmond's [player_tooltip player_id='2129235' first='Hezekiah' last='East'], who finished 2nd for the entire group with 37 reps, Hartsville's [player_tooltip player_id='1820409' first='Crayton' last='McKnight'] with 28 reps and Camden's [player_tooltip player_id='1822669' first='Worth' last='Thomasson'] with 23 reps.

Moving on to some of the wide receivers, [player_tooltip player_id='2070776' first='Tarez' last='James'] from Swansea ran an excellent post route to the middle of the field for a touchdown, looking the ball into his hands. North Augusta's [player_tooltip player_id='1827442' first='AJ' last='Hillary'] connected with Aiken's [player_tooltip player_id='1614255' first='Allen' last='Cummings'] for a completion, as it was an excellent throw with plenty of air under it where Cummings could make a play and the defensive back didn't have a chance to swat it away or pick it off.

[player_tooltip player_id='1823525' first='De'Eric' last='Davis'] of South Florence did an excellent job with the quarterback-running back exchange on the zone read. He didn't guess with the read and made sure to read the defensive end quickly. He has some wheels on him. And he has a smooth delivery on his throws, like one out to the flat to his receivers.

Keith Bridgett from Mullins made an excellent catch to the sideline, plucking the ball out of the air. [player_tooltip player_id='1822422' first='Ethan' last='Collins'] from Gilbert made a great catch on the out route with a man draped on him, showing great concentration.

[player_tooltip player_id='1819537' first='Collin' last='Tillman'] of North Augusta connected with Waccamaw's Randall Rogers on a wheel route where the ball placement was so precise that only Rogers could make a play on it. Camden's [player_tooltip player_id='1302875' first='Will' last='Haunert'] showed soft hands in making a catch to end the competition session.

White Knoll's Jhais McKiever was impressive in the throws that we saw as he stepped into them and got to his guys – we think he could thrive in new coach Victor Floyd's offense which has been successful at Chester in developing quarterbacks and setting them up for success at the next level.
