It's March, so we're starting our county deep dives series. If you're a veteran, you already know the drill. If you're new here, or haven't seen one of our deep dives before, the concept is simple. I'm looking at the counties in and around the RDU area to rank the top players at each position by region. We've done this series for a few years, but we've never covered the counties directly east of Raleigh. Let's change that. Here are the best quarterbacks in Alamance, Chatham, and Lee Counties.

Parker had a breakout season in his second year as a starter for Seaforth, going from a struggling sophomore to a dynamic junior. Likely debuting fairly high on our 2027 state rankings at the next update, Parker has garnered some recent interest on the recruiting trail thanks to a strong arm and greatly improved accuracy. Parker threw for 2,600 yards and 29 touchdowns, adding over 600 rushing yards while leading Seaforth to a school-best six wins.

Jackson slides in just barely behind first after a huge sophomore season for Southeast Alamance. He threw for almost 2,500 yards and 24 touchdowns as the Stallions won eight games last season. He's not the biggest passer you'll find, but he's highly accurate and has the pocket movement to create space and make plays when things break down. Expect big things from the rising junior in 2026.

Chatham Centralhas to be considered one of the best 1-10 teams in the state, as the Bears lost four one-score games last season. Albright flashed serious potential, as well, averaging over 240 total yards per game in the five games he played before injury. The Bears averaged over 20 points per game in those starts, and Albright threw for 13 touchdowns, averaging over 60 yards per game on the ground.

A multi-year starter, Oakley actually saw his volume tick down in 2025, but he was much more accurate and greatly improved his touchdown-to-interception ratio. He was also more effective as a runner, scoring three touchdowns and moving the chains when necessary. He's on a clear upward trajectory and has the upside to be a real weapon in 2026.

Crisp has been on our radar for a while, but has quietly worked with the JV squad ahead of what could be a breakout 2026. Crisp throws with anticipation and has high-level accuracy, not just to deliver on time, but to allow his receivers to catch the ball on the run and turn upfield. He doesn't run as much as you'd think, but when he does, he's electric. I wouldn't be surprised to see him have a huge junior season.
