2028 Inside Look: Offer Now Sophomore Sensations

Curoso has had a very busy off-season so far coming off a insane 1,500 yard rushing season and logging 100+ tackles on the defensive side for Clovis. The rising Junior is one of the top players at his position in the state and could very well be closing in on the 2,000 yard rushing marker in 2026 and has already picked up offers from UNLV, Colorado State and Oregon State. He is a strong and violent compact runner that gets downhill quickly, runs behind his pads with great lean and leg drive through contact and looks for tacklers in the hole. He also possesses elite contact balance and bounces off tacklers while showing patience behind his blocks and possesses a third level gear in the clear. Curoso is a natural pass catcher out of the backfield and excels in pass protection as well and is a well rounded prospect that brings a ton to the table. Overall, he is a very instinctual and violent two-way player that has been flying under the radar up to this point and should really burst onto the scene here soon. The young sophomore is a freak athlete along the defensive line and is going to hold national offers by the time it's all said and done. He has elite length, the right frame and all the upside needed for the P4 level for the defensive line. On tape, he shows good initial explosion, backside pursuit and the ability to quickly shock and shed off blocks while knifing inside reach/drive blocks on his way to the backfield. He is a long strider with closing speed that can collapse flat backside and has some natural bend and use of hands when turning the corner. Only heading into his Junior season, he should really blowup in the next 12 months and is going to be a 10+ offer guy by the time he graduates and is one of the top in the state along the defensive front. Devany is one of the top '28 signal callers we have seen across the state and does a great job improvising in the pocket, buying time with his legs and excels at throwing across his body on schedule and into tight windows. He is a quick processor, moves through progressions fast and can throw a nice deep ball with velocity and spin over the top. When on the run he flashes the ability to turn his shoulders and deliver strikes downfield from various arm angles and has impressive mechanics for only a sophomore. Look for Devany to be closing in on his first offer soon and should really explode onto the scene during his Junior season for Buchanan. Gonzales is one of the top edge rushers across southern California in this 2028 class and is a sneaky FBS prospect that can play multiple positions depending on how he continues to grow and develop. He plays with violent inside hands, can set the edge and turn the corner quickly while very athletic and fluid in space for his size and a good open field tackler. He snaps out of his stance, quickly resets the LOS and can sit and lock out tackles to hold the edge and has a violent disengage while a high motor kid that is always around the ball. His ability to play the run stout, have the base fundamentals of the edge position along with his natural ability to bend, use his hands and rush the passer makes him a nice upside guy heading into his junior season. Glover is a true road grader on the inside for the Spartans and snaps out of his stance with nasty intentions, plays with great leverage and finish abilities downfield and wins with inside hands and great strength at the POA. Only a rising Junior and playing against top tier northern California competition, Glover will have plenty of tread on his tires heading into 2026 and will be one of the more athletic and dominant blockers the region has to offer. He is also a natural bender with good flexibility in and out of his stance and has the frame to continue packing on weight for the IOL at the next level. Look for plenty of college programs to look his way in the coming months as he should start seeing his stock rise soon.
