2027 Central Valley Stock Risers

Elite length to control opponents at the POA with room to add mass without losing in his movement/athleticism. Excellent natural movement skills and flexibility at his size. He shows plus initial quickness off the line with the balance and body control to be smooth when changing directions. Sets a strong edge in the run game being able to lock out opponents and work laterally down the line to contain. Good pass rush tools like long arm, speed to power, and can run the arc to the outside. Like his pursuit range and reliability tackling in one on one open space scenarios. He makes quick explosive cuts in the short area and possesses a sustained second gear to breakaway once in space. Shows great twitch and suddenness in his movement to be elusive with the ball in his hands. Like his field vision and instincts to read his blocks and defensive flow as he finds/attacks the running lane. Strong ball security in traffic. A lot to like about his physical skillset with a strong 6'0” 190 lb. frame. He's an attacking defender and aggressive playmaker both in coverage and run support. Plays well with his eyes to read the QB and anticipate ball location. He's quick to transition and accelerate out of his turn to close separation with the ball in the air. Excellent ball judgement and tracking skills to compete and meet receivers at the catch point. Violent tackler that accelerates through contact with good leverage and forward momentum to finish ball carriers to the ground. He's able to read blocks/flow to fill the alley with speed coming downhill in run support. As a ball carrier, he applies early pressure to the defense with his quick acceleration through the first level. He's patient as the play and his blocks develop but is decisive when he triggers to plant and get square. Can pick up yards between the tackles or use his speed to turn the corner on the outside and that speed allows him to outrun angles and extend gains. Tough to catch once in space, he's a home run threat if not contained early in the play. Strong hands with a diverse route tree out of the backfield showing good timing on screens and short passes and the ability to push vertically while tracking the ball in the air.
