The 4th annual PRZ Sooner State Shootout took place in Broken Arrow this weekend and we had over 100 teams from this region competing on Saturday and Sunday. In this breakdown, we're putting the spotlight on ten players from the 14U division that stood out on Sunday during bracket play. It was win or go home and these players performed incredibly well throughout Sunday's action. Four different states are represented here!

Aiden Lawson - 2030 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Off Grind Elite

2030 two-way standout Aiden Lawson is ready to put the pads on and be physical. Lawson played for Off Grind Elite and his size and physicality definitely stood out on Sunday. Defensively, he stayed with nearly every receiver because he pressed them and didn't allow easy separation. Offensively, he knew how to high point the ball at the right time. He ended up being a really solid playmaker on both sides of the ball. We can't wait to see the Oklahoma product in pads this fall.

Brody Lynn - Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - EMP1RE

Brody Lynn is the first of several monsters from EMP1RE that stood out throughout the morning on Sunday. Lynn played on both sides of the ball but it was what he did on defense that caught our attention. Lynn lined up at safety and he played that "centerfielder" just scanning the field incredibly well. He has the athleticism and speed to get from point A to point B in a hurry and he was a problem for opposing quarterbacks that thought they had an open window. Lynn made quite a few plays from the secondary that we caught.

Bryson Thorpe - 2030 Athlete - Warren Academy

Warren Academy 2030 standout Bryson Thorpe is the first of several Nebraska prospects that came down to Oklahoma and performed very well. Thorpe is a name that seems very familiar to us but he definitely earned his way on this breakdown with his play Sunday. He played on both sides of the ball for Warren Academy and he was one of the better two-way players we watched. He ran precise routes and had a high on-field IQ. Then he turned around and made some big plays on defense throughout the day.

Cameron Dale - Quarterback - Paramount Elite

Quarterback Cameron Dale is the first of several players from Paramount Elite that stood out to us on Sunday. He's also the first of several quarterbacks on this breakdown. The first thing that stood out to us while watching Dale was the touch he had on the deep ball. He's not afraid to push the ball downfield but he's also accurate with it and the timing is definitely there. He was pretty consistent throughout the day with his ball placement and he was always putting it in a position for his playmakers to make plays.

Easton Condron - 2030 Quarterback - BCA Air Dawgs

We saw a handful of really talented quarterbacks from northwest Arkansas. BCA Air Dawgs had one with Easton Condron as he really performed well on Sunday. He was accurate with the ball and he rarely made a bad decision while we were watching him during bracket play. He never really pushed things and was taking what the defense was giving him. He knew when to put some touch on his passes or fire absolute strikes. Overall, it was a really impressive performance from the young QB.

Jaxon Shaffer - 2031 Quarterback - 918 Smoke

2031 signal caller Jaxon Shaffer is no stranger to standing out in Prep Redzone 7v7 tournaments and he was back at it again this weekend. The thing that stood out to us the most on Sunday with Shaffer was his efficiency. He wasn't putting his offense in bad positions by throwing into dangerous coverages. He made good decisions pretty consistently throughout the day Sunday. He will check it down quickly if needed and keep the offense moving in a positive direction. They rarely got behind the sticks.

Preston Smith - 2030 Wide Receiver - EMP1RE

2030 wide receiver Preston Smith made one of the best plays that we watched on Sunday in the 14U division. He made a one-handed catch, where he twisted his body and snagged the ball in the middle of the field and still had the balance to go score. He was a highlight machine throughout the weekend but it was on full display on Sunday. We really liked his catch radius that he showcased. A ball was rarely out of his range to go up and get it. He had incredibly reliable hands and impressed all day.

Roman Thornton - 2030 Wide Receiver - Paramount Elite

2030 wide receiver Roman Thornton is another from Nebraska that performed very well throughout the weekend but specifically on Sunday. His footwork was something that immediately caught our attention. Between the shiftiness and the overall move set, Thornton knew how to get off the line and away from a defender trying to push him off his spot. Another underrated quality that he showcased was looking the ball all the way in. The vision was something that also separated him from some of the other standouts.

Wally Brown - 2030 Athlete - EMP1RE

EMP1RE has a few prospects that just look like genetic freaks in the best possible way. 2030 standout Wally Brown is one of those prospects. He was one of the better looking athletes that we watched in the 14U division and the fact that he's not even in high school yet is scary. He's long, athletic and that became a big problem for undersized defensive backs trying to keep up with him. Once EMP1RE got inside the 10-yard line, it was a given that Brown was going to be involved in jump ball situations. He made play after play.

Wyatt Adams - 2029 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Paramount Elite

Paramount Elite had another standout on both sides of the ball. Freshman Wyatt Adams out of Nebraska had a really good showing on both sides of the ball but it was what he was doing on offense that really caught our attention on Sunday. Taking a look back at our notes, we really liked the way Adams had control of his body in jump ball situations to go along with a really solid frame. He never looked awkward running around and he used his hands really well and the wingspan became a problem in those jump ball situations.
