ORLANDO – There were several football players who made a lasting impression this past season in Florida – with nationally rated teams showcasing plenty of prospects.

With elite talent all over the state, several prospects turned heads and made a statement. But when the year came to an end, very few accomplished what 6'6, 215-pound quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1909446' first='Davin' last='Davidson'] had done.

Coming out of nowhere, he would help to lead the Sarasota Cardinal Mooney Cougars to their second ever state title – in convincing fashion over Jacksonville Bolles in the 2A title game.

What this Class of 2027 quarterback prospect did last season was complete 147 passes for 2,479 yards and 24 touchdowns.

On Sunday at Bishop Moore High School, Davidson showcased his skills during The Under Armour Next event.

With his play during the 2025 season and his post-season success, Davidson has been elevated to national status, and with dozens and dozens of colleges making solid offers, he is indeed a prospect that will be followed closely throughout spring and summer and into the 2026 season.

DAVIDSON WAS CERTAINLY NOT ALONE

While Davidson has been stealing the show since last September, on Sunday in Orlando he opened the door for so many other Florida prospects to get some positive attention.

Among those Class of 2027 rising seniors on hand were Terrance Lewis Jr. (Ocala Vanguard), Chase Burrill (Saint Petersburg Catholic), Jackson Stroud (Hollywood McArthur), Dorian Fauntleroy (Jupiter Christian), last week's Rivals.com MVP and Pittsburgh commit Kevin Verpaele (Merritt Island), Joaquin Kavouklis (Tampa Gaither), USF commit James Perrone (Fort Lauderdale Saint Thomas Aquinas), Sean Hickey II (Clearwater Central Catholic), Zachary “Zac” Katz (Miami True North Classical Academy), Jack Spaeder (Davie Western), UCF commit Logan Flaherty (Port Charlotte), King Boylston (Jacksonville Ed White), Mason Summer (Bradenton Manatee) and William Jackson (Orlando Maynard Evans).

RISING JUNIORS (2028) ALSO TURNED HEADS

While those impressive rising seniors made an impact, the underclassmen in the Class of 2028 also showed why this position is truly in great hands.

Among those prospects you want to watch include fast-rising Jaxon Flowers (Jacksonville The Bolles School), Andrew “A.J.” Chung (Winter Garden West Orange), Brycen Marbrey (Winter Park Lake Howell), Blake McCullough (Orlando Bishop Moore), Austan Cristiaan (Community School of Naples), Luke Toland (Jacksonville The Bolles School), Andrew Whittemore (Gainesville Buchholz), Under Armour game invitee Brady Quinn (Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna), Remy Jarman (Lake Mary), Jackson Stecher (Altamonte Springs Lake Brantley) and St. Cloud's Jeremiah Lattier.
