With the 2028 class rankings being updated and released last week, there is a lot to catch up on, and today, we're taking a look at a group of recruits from Southern Indiana who are currently ranked inside the top 150.

Beccaccio is a multi-sport athlete for East Central who has good balance and fundamentals. His baseball background comes through with his balance and hand-eye coordination. Being able to strike in the right places off the line is one of the most important things as an OL. He's got decent arm length, and with his balance, he's able to have success even in bad matchups. He's consistent and plays with good pad level. His feet are always chopping, and he'll stay off his heels. He's not the biggest lineman, but he's still developing and looks good with where he's at right now in his development.

Sanders is a really talented linebacker who came out and had a massive breakout season for Lincoln. He's got good instincts and timing. He's a good athlete who can run in coverage and come play the run. He's a tackling machine and always seems to be around the ball. He's good near the line and has the strength to get off blocks to make a TFL or sack. His sophomore season saw him put up 127 tackles, which was 5th in the nation in the 2028 class. He added 8 TFLs, 3 PBUs, and an interception.

Nelson is a developing edge rusher who has good speed and bending ability around the edge. He's got decent speed coming off the edge and can move with quickness. His wrestling background helps him all over the football field. He's able to bend underneath and dip around the edge. He plays with a good motor and plays through the whistle. He rotated in Varsity and had gotten better as the year went on. He'll likely be the full-time starter next fall and take another big step. He ended the year with 23 tackles, 4 TFLs, and 2 sacks.

Levell is a dynamic and fairly talented edge rusher with good size and vision on the field. He's got a good, quick first step and can be in the face of the lineman right off the rip. His long arms give him a first contact advantage. He plays with good pad level and won't expose his chest. He does a good job of containing the edge and forcing plays back inside. I like his ability to create pressure and make plays in the backfield. He finished the year with 34 tackles, 10 TFLs, 7 sacks, and a forced fumble. He sat out quite a few 2nd halves and 4th quarters as well, because they'd be blowing out their opponent, so it's safe to say his production would be quite a bit more if needed.

Lorial is a fantastic athlete, finding his way on the football field. He's sideline to sideline with ease and has no issue flipping and running in coverage. He's got long strides, which help close gaps and keep him in phase. His closing speed is good, and he can make plays on the ball. I liked his confidence in the snaps he had and his willingness to come up and play the run. With his length, speed, and upside, I think this is just the beginning for Lorial. I fully anticipate a big role next fall since he flashed and rotated in as an underclassman.

Terrill stepped up big time as a sophomore and had a big season for South Dearborn. He immediately became a leader for the defense and was all over the field. He's best near the line and when attacking the ball. He's quick off the line like an Edge rusher, but doesn't strictly rely on the 1 spot. He can drop back into coverage if needed, but he really gave the Knights defense some life when coming off the edge and helping seal it. He comes to balance well and attacks the inside hip. With 77 total tackles, 15 TFLs, 4 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles, he had a fantastic year and could be a small school guy who begins to pick up traction.

Fondrisi is a pocket passer with good vision for the field. He keeps the ball safe and doesn't put it in harm's way. He'll give his guy a chance downfield while minimizing the risk. He's got a decent arm and can lay the ball out over the top. He's willing to stay in the pocket and deliver a throw under pressure. He's got a quick release and can make some good throws with different arm angles. He threw for 1795 yards and 24 TDs to just 6 interceptions as he helped lead Providence to a 9-3 record.

Elmer is a powerful interior lineman who constantly buries the guy across from him. He plays with a good base and low pad level. He's almost always got the leverage advantage and can win at the point of contact. He's good on the move in the running game as a lead blocker on calls like power. He'll get around the corner and seal the block, knowing to change their angle and create the crease. He seems to be fairly consistent and doesn't ride the emotional waves of the game. I like him and what he brings to the table for North.

Cayce had a decent sophomore season where he rotated in and made some big plays. He's a bigger back who doesn't go down easily. He'll bounce off contact and fight for extra yardage. He's got decent speed for his size and seems like he can help tire out a defense. His vision is good, and he sees the lane as it's developing, so he'll hit it full speed. He finished year 2 with 610 rushing yards and 7 TDs, but that was likely just the beginning for him. He'll be the full-time starter next fall and could easily double those numbers.

With the 2028 class rankings being updated and released last week, there is a lot to catch up on, and today, we're taking a look at a group of recruits from Southern Indiana who are currently ranked inside the top 150.
