PRZ-NE Stock-Up Showcase OL MVP - Top Performers

The Prep Redzone New England Stock-Up Showcase took place on February 7, 2026, in Connecticut. The event featured many talented athletes. These athletes participated in athletic combine drills. They competed at an elevated skill level. Coaches and PRZ scouts present at the event worked together. They selected one MVP. They also chose four top performers for each position group once the event concluded. In this report, I will highlight the Offensive Line players who received MVP and Top Performer recognition. On offense, his quick feet and rapid hand placement allow him to engage defenders effectively. He maintains a wide base, excels at pulling to the edge or second level, and demonstrates the power to dominate opponents of all sizes while consistently finishing blocks with tenacity. Defensively, Jake's explosive first step and sharp vision enable him to locate the ball carrier quickly and disrupt plays in the backfield. Areas for improvement include refining his posture to stay lower and developing more independent hand usage to shed blocks efficiently. I recommend focused offseason drills on technique and agility to elevate his game. Overall, Jake's raw talent and work ethic make him a rising prospect—keep an eye on his development this spring.          Ballesteros flashed high traits that make him a standout in pass protection and run blocking, particularly on the edge. His physicality and edge set him apart—he plays with a mean streak that translates to consistent finishes on blocks. Key highlights from the showcase: He excelled against speed rushers in space. He used quick feet and a rapid kick step to mirror defenders effectively. His posture remains balanced and low, allowing him to maintain leverage and redirect rushers without getting overextended. He used his hands violently as a weapon. He punches with authority. He uses them independently to control and stun opponents at the point of attack.   He's already strong enough to handle bigger, more physical defenders in drills. He won the vast majority of his reps. He combined leverage with functional strength. He often stonewalled bull rushes and drove defenders off the line. His quick feet enable fluid movement in space, making him versatile for pulling or second-level blocking schemes. His competitive fire—"playing with an edge"—was evident in every rep, fueling sustained effort and resilience against top competition. While he projects best on the interior (e.g., guard), he demonstrated enough athleticism to handle edge responsibilities, such as at tackle. Bowen plays with a mean streak, consistently seeking to finish every block with authority. He doesn't just engage defenders—he drives through them, showcasing the kind of tenacity that translates well to run-heavy schemes. This was evident in multiple reps where he pancaked opponents, maintaining leverage and power through the whistle.   He gets his hands on defenders quickly and uses them independently, which is a premium trait for an offensive lineman. Bowen incorporated a quick kick step in pass protection. He showed the ability to mirror rushers effectively. He was able to reset his base without losing ground. This technical proficiency helped him win the majority of his competitive reps, even against twitchy edge defenders. Although capable on the edge, Bowen occasionally struggled with pure speed rushers who could bend the corner. His kick step is quick. However, in a few instances, he appeared a tick slow in redirecting against elite burst. This issue could be exposed in faster-paced college environments. He used his hands independently to punch and redirect. This independent hand work helped him win most of his reps in competition. He often neutralized edge rushers and interior penetration alike. He's versatile enough to excel on the interior (guard/tackle) but showed flashes of edge capability, suggesting positional flexibility.   From the moment he stepped onto the field, English's size was commanding—big, strong, and well-proportioned. He moved exceptionally well in combine drills, demonstrating fluidity and agility that belies his frame. This mobility allows him to handle speed rushers. He can adjust in space, which is crucial for modern offensive schemes. These schemes incorporate zone blocking and pulling guards. English is a mauler who thrives on contact. He consistently sought to control every block, getting his hands on defenders quickly and maintaining leverage throughout the rep. He effectively drove defenders out of the box. He used powerful leg drive and core strength. This physical mindset makes him a tone-setter in the run game, where he can open lanes for ball carriers effectively. Overall, these traits contributed to his Top 5 Performer nod. He dominated in drills and live reps. He controls his space well, excelling in interior positions with strong vertical drive and surprising quickness in kick steps. His physical presence translates to consistent wins in competition. At times, Reed appears stiff, which can limit lateral agility and fluidity in pass protection against quicker edge rushers. He is an obvious guard or center at the college level, and his dominance can shine. Reed is a high-upside prospect worth monitoring.
