He was not the biggest prospect in attendance, but he might have been one of the most fundamentally sound. [player_tooltip player_id='1312221' first='Adam' last='Gomez'], a 2027 graduate, was one of the better lateral movers participating. Aside from kick sliding and power stepping well, Gomez did a great job of showcasing his power. The one rep that comes to mind is when he was nearly beat along the outside. In response, he turned his pass set into a drive block, winning the rep by delivering his opponent outside the pocket... A technique that all linemen should have in their toolbox, and to be mindful to not overuse, is the ability to anchor. [player_tooltip player_id='1312224' first='Gavin' last='English'], all 6'4" of him, was able to do this. When facing a bull rush that got under him, English anchored to stonewall the rush dead in its tracks. Additionally, he extended and locked out to maintain control for a win.

A promising youngster who mixed it up was Jayden Potter. A 2029 graduate, Potter was unabashed when it came to banging in the trenches. I noticed him getting belly-to-belly in his pass set. This allowed him to sit back, stay balanced, and feel his opponents move. One thing he ought to be mindful of moving forward is his hand placement. Sometimes they got out a bit too wide, while other times they were not in the ideal place... Zachary Mancuso was every bit of a man-child. At 6'4" 272lbs he had one of the best looking frames in attendance. Still yet to play his junior season, Mancuso can improve his bend. He currently has a tendency to absorb defenders with his chest. By improving his flexibility he will be less vulnerable to power rushes. Additionally, when pass protecting he might benefit from keeping more weight on his inside leg.
