“Offseason Warriors” of 2026 Pt.1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This article is for the athletes that doesn't even know what an off season is. I can speak for every football scout out there, we love to see young football players work on their craft, and get better for the next upcoming season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>These 5 football players are some of the hardest working young men in Missouri. Every time I look on social media I see these men just working their hearts out to be better than the rest of the competition. Watching athletes get better and better each year is one of the reasons I enjoy my job so very much. That is the case when you watch a Cherokee middle school football. Although Sterling Goodall has shown flashes of not just being an athletic quarterback, but a precision passing threat. Goodall comes equipped with a live right arm; he can make any throw you need him to, but where he really likes to show his chops is when he can let it rip and throw the deep ball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>During the off-season Goodall is constantly working his tail off. Under 20 degrees outside you can find this guy on a football field covered with ice still getting some passes off. If that's not dedication I don't know what is. Cruse is tough in between the tackles with the patience and vision beyond his age. Cruse pairs that with breakaway speed, but what's most impressive is how dangerous he is in the passing game. He shows soft hands and superb route-running for a running back of his size. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Not only does he have God-given talent, but Cruse is also an extremely hard-working football player. If you were to look at his Twitter/X account you would see mostly two things: his camp invites/visits and him running multiple agility drills or in the weight room. Vaughan has definitely learned how to market himself and get the attention of football scouts all over. That's half the battle and something that I constantly have to preach to older athletes, so kudos to this young man for setting goals for himself and putting himself out there. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Vaughan is an athlete through and through. He usually plays quarterback, although I can see him fitting right in as a pass catcher, as well as give you valuable snaps on the defensive side of the ball. He always seems to be in the right place at the right time on the defensive side of the ball. Totaling 60 total tackles and 4 sacks, Scherffius played lights out for North County High School in 2025. They loved to move him around because he's such a highly functional type of football player.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This 2026 off-season Jaxon has racked up multiple camp invites from his outstanding play in 2025. Wise can flat-out play the game of football, but what separates him from the rest of the pack is his work-ethic. [player_tooltip player_id='693908' first='Jayvyn' last='Wise'] is going to step on that football field and give you everything he has from the time the ball is snapped to when the time has expired.
