Here we take a look at a few of the standouts we are expecting to see at the NW Winter Showcase on both sides of the football. As of right now there looks to be between 250-300 kids from 10 different states represented.

Speaking on the event the director of the showcase Michael Snyder says, "Looking forward to being back at Pacific University for our 4th Northwest Winter Showcase. Pacific has amazing facilities including an indoor. This showcase is a great opportunity for seniors who are still looking for a home next season. Colleges attending use this showcase to fill up their recruiting class. This is also a great opportunity for underclassmen to get in front of college coaches early to start the recruiting process and get ready for camp season."

[player_tooltip player_id='1615869' first='Kael' last='Copeland'] 28' 5-11 200 RB Kennedy Catholic WA

Copeland has the ability to be the overall MVP of the entire camp. He's that good. The all conference sophomore averaged close to 12 yards per carry, rushing 51 times for 609 yards on the year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1119903' first='Bryson' last='Walker'] 27' 5-6 155 WR Cascade Christian OR

The 5-6 scat back earned 1st team all-state honors on both sides of the ball at the 3A level, being named the SOC Defensive POY. Offensively he was unreal as well going for close to 1500 yards and 30 TDs. He will be a winter showcase MVP candidate.

[player_tooltip player_id='1924243' first='Jayden' last='Locke'] 28' QB 6-5 200 Milwaukie OR

The Co-Offensive POY in the conference as a sophomore. Locke did well at the PRZ event a few weeks back. His 2,439 passing yards and 34 TDs speak to his potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='2088802' first='Carter' last='Powers'] 27' 6-4 200 QB Tualatin OR

Powers earned honorable mention all TRL honors as a junior for a loaded T-Wolves program. His 6-4 frame and overall athletic ability help to put him on the map and have him listed among the top offensive players to watch at the showcase.

Blake Schafer 27' 6-3 195 195 WR Central Catholic CANADA

You have to like the Canadian's size and what he did a junior. Schafer caught 22 passes for 304 yards and 3 TD's and looks the part as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1689456' first='Noah' last='Solo'] 26' 6-0 225 RB Springfield OR

Definitely one of the most under recruited 26's in the state. Solo was a 1st team all league and honorable mention all state RB and a legit defender to boot. I would bet he walks away with multiple opportunities.

[player_tooltip player_id='1188108' first='Brayden' last='Paulino'] 27' 5-11 165 QB Emerald Ridge WA

Paulino started as a freshman at the Varsity level before making the move from Puyallup to Emerald Ridge. He is a 60% career passer with 25 TD's/11 INTs to his name. He would be a good fit for multiple universities in attendance.

[player_tooltip player_id='1612598' first='Quenton' last='Lake'] 28' 6-4 200 QB Silverton OR

One of the top sophomore QB's in the state makes the move from North Salem to 5A state champion Silverton after throwing for 15 TDs/6 INTs this past year. Kids a player.

[player_tooltip player_id='1125493' first='Reece' last='Ballew'] 27' 5-9 175 RB Mountainside OR

As we've talked about recently, Ballew projects as one of the top players in the Metro League next season. He was a 2nd team all conference pick as a sophomore going for 500+ yards (9.3 ypc) and 6 TD's before getting hurt after two games as a junior.

Carl Myers 27' 6-3 260 C/OL Liberty Christian WA

Myers did a good job in the trenches earning 1st team all-state honors for his 1B Liberty Christian squad. Playing small school ball, it's super important to get out on the camp circuit and do well against legit competition.

Henry Miller 27' 6-5 195 WR Chelan WA

It will be good to see what the 6-5 Miller can do against good competition. He has the size and the tools and an unlimited ceiling. One of these universities could get a steal.

Lincoln Heinrich 28' 6-0 175 QB Walla Walla WA

It was a good year for the sophomore QB who earned honorable mention all-conference accolades. For the season he hit on 62% of his passes for 1,893 yards and 16 TDs/13 INTs. The Blue Devils are taking legit strides with his leadership.

[player_tooltip player_id='1635865' first='Lucas' last='Wetzel'] 28' 6-3 285 OL Tigard OR

It's tough right now for Tigard as a program but Wetzel is a huge bright spot and the future of the Tigers line. He has a chance to be one of the better lineman in the TRL before he's done.

[player_tooltip player_id='1750258' first='Lyric' last='Samuelu'] 28' 6-0 300 C Nelson OR

Just a physical presence on the interior. Samuelu started as a sophomore for one of the fastest rising programs in the NW. Look for him to play a key role if the Hawks are going to continue atop the Mt Hood.

Matt Schilling 26' 6-2 195 WR/S Soldotna AK

One of the best players in Alaska. Schilling is a big physical athlete who can help you on either side of the ball. He was an all state selection at TE/WR & as a DB for the state champs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1611487' first='Nolan' last='Wolfe'] 28' 6-4 205 QB Glencoe OR

Everyone is looking forward to seeing Wolfe who plays for one of the top coaches in Oregon in Ian Reynoso. The 6-4 sophomore was an honorable mention all conference selection passing for 12 TD's this past season.

Ashton Wells 29' 6-8 260 OL North Medford OR

It's not everyday a 6-8 freshman walks into the building. The size alone is intriguing with the youngster being able to go against some tough older competition at the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='1396593' first='Mayes' last='Mayovsky'] 27' 6-1 255 OL Kennewick WA

Mayovsky doesn't necessarily have prototypical size for an O lineman but he's one of the best in the state for his class. He earned 1st team all conference honors as a junior with 0 sacks allowed for the season, and will be a good matchup for some of the top D line guys.

[player_tooltip player_id='1605387' first='Owen' last='Gallo'] 27' 6-2 210 WR Ballard WA

Gallo can do a little bit of everything. He's a big physical presence who can body you, catching 16 passes for 230 yards on the year with 27 tackles on D. You have to like the size and versatility.

[player_tooltip player_id='1539446' first='Ryker' last='Rohaley'] 28' 6-1 175 QB Sheldon OR

Nothing but respect for Rohaley and his work ethic. His 70% completion percentage as a sophomore at the varsity level was impressive, finishing with 6 TDs/5 INTs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1620620' first='TJ' last='Strilcov'] 27' 6-2 250 OL Peninsula WA

The 1st team all Nisqually O lineman will be one of the best players at the event. He can play on either side of the ball and could end up being heavily recruited by many of the universities in attendance.

Maurice Hendricks 27' 6-0 165 WR Freedom CA

A lot of potential here. Watch some of his film and 7v7 clips and you see a Cali kid with ability. He was one of the team leaders with 30+ tackles and a pick last year as a junior.

Ayden VanWinkle 27' 6-1 275 C/LS Coffee County Central TN

VanWinkle makes the trip from Tennessee to showcase what he can do as both a center and as a 4* long snapper. He's a high-end academic kid with numerous universities at the showcase having those types of requirements.
