The annual King of Da Boot 7-on-7 tournament drew a huge turnout of both talented teams and supporting crowds to Acadiana this weekend for two days of action.

Several of Louisiana's top prospects from rising seniors down to the younger age groups were in attendance and provided standout performances for their respective organizations — all leading to F3 Elite holding off The Duke Academy, 20-12, for the 18U title.

Here's a look at a few of the eye-catchers who caught our attention during 15U bracket play Sunday.

Note: As always, these "eye-catchers" notes are not necessarily intended as definitive "top performers" lists — particularly in settings such as 7-on-7 where there are multiple fields going simultaneously and catching everything happening at once is not possible.

[player_tooltip player_id='1605619' first='Krew' last='Collura'] — 5-11, 180 QB — Mandeville (2029)

and Christopher Becnel Jr. — 5-11, 165 WR/ATH — Riverside Academy (2028)

Mandeville's young quarterback, fresh off a freshman season of nearly 3,000 total yards, was sharp leading Fleaux's 15U team, including a consistent connection downfield with Becnel, the Outstanding Player selection for his Rebels' state-title win in December. Collura is already pushing 6-feet with a strong build, decisiveness reading the field and sharp ball placement to give his receivers opportunities to run after the catch, as the quick, athletic Becnel did on numerous occasions.

[player_tooltip player_id='1145834' first='Caiden' last='Bellard'] — 5-10, 190 RB — Lafayette Christian (2028)

The Lafayette Christian star earned LSWA Class 2A all-state honors this fall for a breakout sophomore campaign toting the rock for more than 1,500 yards and has been impressive early this spring on the 7-on-7 circuit, using the format to showcase his route-running and sure hands as one of the top threats for 4th Quarter Mentality, including multiple end zone trips in the King of Da Boot event.

Jordan Culotta — 5-9, 160 WR — Catholic-Baton Rouge (2029)

Episcopal-Baton Rouge quarterback James Rieger (2030) spread the ball around to a host of weapons en route to F3 Elite's 15U title run, including some familiar faces of budding young standouts such as [player_tooltip player_id='1560637' first='Kylin' last='Jones'] (Zachary, 2028) and [player_tooltip player_id='1938598' first='Alek' last='Bush'] Jr. (Catholic-BR, 2029). But another rising sophomore, Catholic receiver Jordan Culotta had some of the biggest highlights early in the title game — hanging in the air and hauling in a touchdown and another near-touchdown on a deep shot to the goal line — that helped provide a spark and opportunity to play from ahead.

Brandon Green — 5-11, 180 DB — Holy Cross (2028)

The rising junior safety from New Orleans is among the big names hitting the recruiting radar early this spring with a recent Florida State offer and solid performances on the 7-on-7 circuit. Green earned playing time in both 15U and 18U action, playing well in space on the back end of the defense, keeping plays in front of him and quickly closing passing windows for deflections.

DJay Collins — 5-10, 165 DB — Catholic-Baton Rouge (2029)

and [player_tooltip player_id='1372201' first='Jamon' last='Wesley'] — 6-0, 160 DB/ATH — Zachary (2028)

F3 Elite received standout performances on both sides of the ball en route to the championship, including interceptions from Collins and Wesley in the title game — the former to help keep maintain moment heading into halftime and the latter to help shut the door on any comeback hopes late. Wesley first hit the Prep Redzone Louisiana as a quarterback in eighth grade, but is developing into a promising safety on the back end, including his well-timed break and ball skills on the final takeaway.

Markeric LaCour — WR — Peabody Magnet (2028)

The rising junior wide receiver was among the slew of standout pass-catchers for his JackBoyz 15U team with good size and a highlight play on which he got a short pass across the field and burst past defenders to the sideline and pylon.
