Nate’s Late Night Dakotas Film Room: Session 3

We keep plugging away with our Dakotas Film Room as we log Session 3 which features plenty of 2028 North Dakota prospects that are worth a good luck from small schools across the state!    One of the most athletic prospects I have learned in recent years out of Enderlin, is [player_tooltip player_id='1598041' first='Gabe' last='Gruba'] in the 2028 class. Gabe can be a weapon on all three levels of the field, and utilzes his athletic ability in multiple ways especially as a ball carrier, that boosts great pull-away speed and is one that has good patience in between the tackles, especially as a kick returner. He's also grown 2 inches since our last update and that newly seen length is on display quckly across Gabe's tape. I feel this kid has great next-level position flexibility that needs to make a move in our 2028 rankings to the athlete spot.   <a href="http://Twitter.com/GabeGruba7">TWITTER</a>     Tri-State has had some quality athletes over the coming years head to the next-level and we might have found the next one in their 2028 class, as we meet [player_tooltip player_id='1598035' first='Raul' last='Chavez']. I like what this young man can do with his legs outside of the pocket as he's one that can stretch the field around the edges with his football IQ and elusiveness he has at his disposal. Raul displays the role of an athlete at the quarterback position, as he's raw with his arm talent but surely has the positon flexibility that I see that could be a slot receiver at the next-level. He's more durable than you might expect at his size and shows no fear on tape finishing thru contact. From the throwing reps I have seen, Raul throws a good touch throw on intermediate routes that has good precision to lead his receiver upfield. Surely another athlete to know out of Tri-State as Raul and [player_tooltip player_id='2103089' first='Owen' last='Wood'] are going to be a duo to watch within their offense.     Austin is a running back that took a solid step up in his sophomore season when you roll the tape for the 2028 prospect out of Wyndmere/Lidgerwood. the 5'10 170 pounder is super agile with his change of direction and has the ability to make muliple defenders then can flip the field in a jiffy. He also is a RB that peaks up his top speed early into the second level and yet is another running back that has hard-nosed durability for his size. Seen a good chunk of his game tapes form 2025, but hope to see his highlight tape here soon!     Off the eye test alone when you dive into to Jeremiah on tape, he gives off quickly a man against boys mentality in the defensive trenches right away. The 6'0 285 pounder from Four Winds, has really soft hands getting off his blocks with great agility for his size especially as a defensive tackle as Jeremiah might have the softest hands in the moment in this 2028 North Dakota class at that position spot. He's a super effective run-stopper that gets to the point of attack very quickly and surely took a step to show an ideal fit at the next-level as a defensive tackle (graded as an OL). Surely a 2028 that we have a high grade on already, but as of right now is a top-tier hidden gem in this 2028 North Dakota class that also has the wrestling background that I like for my trench monsters.     We had Holden at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase recently as he was a new name that popped out in the live eval. Holden shows off an agile first step once the ball reaches his hands as a running back out of Hatton-Northwood that also boosts great measurables for his age at the RB position. Holden is also bouncy with his change of direction and has upside growing his vision strongly over the coming season on when to utilize that to his disposal with the right timing. More tape along with a strong off season working his speed and agility should certainly see Holden grow by the next 2028 update we do after summer camps.
