Offense:

Clarksville aint just the home of American Idol winner, Maddie Poppe. It's also got a pretty good football team that could contend for a state title in 2026.

A junior last fall, [player_tooltip player_id='1621106' first='Nathan' last='Moon'] was the main cook in the kitchen for the Indians, as he played a mixture of quarterback, but effectively holding down running back duties offensively. One of the more productive runners of the football in all classes, Moon took 250 carries to finish second in all classes with 2,268 yards and 41 rushing touchdowns. A bowling ball of a runner, Moon was near impossible for 8M defenses to take down, breaking through arm tackles and showing just enough elusiveness to put together a plethora of explosive plays for the Clarksville offense.

Returning from last season's team are a few teammates that helped him out, as Boden Miller took some of the offensive load, rushing 48 times for 400 yards and seven scores. Harley Barnett is also back, after catching ten of Moon's 13 passing completions for 207 yards and four touchdowns.

Defense:

On the other side of the ball, the Indians lose their leading tackler, but Miller returns as a key cog in the machine after he finished last season with 54 tackles. Barnett chimed in with some production, too, putting together 40.5 tackles and a team-leading four interceptions last season. Moon and fellow junior Tommy Barnett combined for 44.5 tackles, nine tackles-for-loss and two sacks, as well. Maddox Morrison, a sophomore in 2025, added three picks, as well.

Miller didn't take many plays off for Clarksville last season, as he also returned kicks. Taking 27 back for 696 yards (25.8 yards per return) and four scores, showing off more potential for offensive playmaking in 2026.
