First look at Maryland’s 2027 ranked prospects: Part 4

He reads the quarterback well, jumps passing lanes, and finishes plays (in his highlights) with multiple interceptions in both short and deep coverage. As a blitzer, Hilston times his rush effectively and closes with speed, showing no hesitation when attacking downhill. He plays with good lateral agility, takes smart pursuit angles, and is reliable in open-field tackling. Hilton's effort stands out, especially on backside pursuit and when initially blocked. I like the way he keeps working to the ball. He shoots gaps cleanly, splits double teams, and regularly beats linemen before they can even get set. Worthy's power shows up when he's aligned at nose, where he overwhelms the center and collapses runs almost at the handoff point. As a pass rusher, he's relentless, pushing the pocket with bull rush power and finishing plays with real closing burst. He delivers a heavy punch, knocks linemen off balance, and consistently holds his ground against the run. Roberts shows good two-gap ability, staying square, reading both sides, and preventing cutback lanes. When the play comes his way, Roberts' highlights show he can shed late and finish (including tackles for loss and shared sacks). He's disciplined in his rush lanes and doesn't overextend or lose contain. He brings functional force at the point of attack, consistently shocking blockers and shedding to make plays near the line of scrimmage. Tinnen's low pad level and strike timing help him win early, whether he's over the center or aligned at defensive tackle. Against the run, he's physical and reliable, meeting backs in the hole and limiting gains. As a pass rusher, he pushes the pocket and affects throws by collapsing space and getting his hands up. The next step on film is showing more consistent second-effort rush and closing speed to finish pressures as clean sacks. Tinnen plays with a high motor and is strong at the point of attack.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
